Speed of passing and attacking shape looks great. Doubt this midfield will stand up defensively but it is good to watch with progressive passing and Cavani as a target.

The state of our attacking transitions last time against these was disgusting. We know they can be got at but rather than zip it about when the ball broke we sat on it time after time until they were back in their shape.

We've been much better tonight as you say, let's hope to Christ we can keep this intensity going in the PL.

Robbie savage absolutely on point in commentry pointing out the difference in passing range when Fred has it and dvb.

There was a killer pass onto Bruno who would have been in a Fred didnt play it.

Maguire looking a lot more settled now, probably takes a bit of adjustment to having Telles bombing forward so much, so the safe pass isn't there as much.

It's a good thing that we're playing well against them.

That's more to do with the average teams sitting deeper against us. I don't think our players lack effort or a bad attitude. It's a coaching issue for these games.

Didn't Fred put Rashford through with an absolute peach against Everton? If Rashford didn't fire it at 150mph straight at Pickford, everyone is raving about the assist.
