Discussion Your Lineup Prediction

  • Ipswich had us against the ropes for long parts last game. We needed a touch of luck to get the draw iirc.
Hopefully we can have some good fortune again and grind out another draw here.
They scored a jammy deflected goal and it boosted their confidence for a bit. They were meh overall though. Onana with some good early saves but they couldn't finish to save their lives (much like us).

My prediction is, we play like crap, go 1-0 down in the second half.
Wake up, play actual football for the last 15 mins and win 2-1.

Ipswich do like a draw, but should have too much for them. (tragic that this is my honest take).

Blows my mind how the educated predictions for a game against Ipswich are around the 1-0 either way.

We are getting to the stage where United literally couldn't drop any lower.

I'd be up for that. He won't hold tge ball up but then neither does Hojlund.
been saying this was worth a try for weeks now... but I still think Rasmus could score goals if we passed to him in the area

    Onana
    Mazraoui Maguire Yoro
    Dalot Eriksen Ugarte Dorgu
    Bruno Garnacho
    Zirkzee

It's certainly no coincedence that the play got better just after Casemiro and Hojlund were subbed. I don't think he will start Chido Obi yet.

    Onana
Yoro - Maguire - De Ligt
    Dalot - Ugarte - Bruno - Dorgu
    Eriksen - Garnacho
    Zirkzee

Ipswich away results in the Premier League this season

    4-1 v Man City
    0-0 v Brighton
    1-1 v Southampton
    4-1 v West Ham
    4-3 v Brentford
    1-2 v Tottenham
    1-0 v Forest
    1-2 v Wolves
    1-0 v Arsenal
    2-2 v Fulham
    4-1 v Liverpool
    1-1 v Villa

Three 4-1 beatings aside they have been fairly competitive on their travels.

It wouldn’t surprise me if we score, but our defence is simply not good enough at the moment, and not shielded well enough by our CMs. I know Utd are struggling to score but I think they’ll be fine here, unfortunately.

    Shaky 2-1.

They'll stay in the game and probably nick one. Garnacho will stick one away finally.

I think Obi has to start this one. Hojlund needs a rest and the chance to come on against a tiring defence.

It is not so much about dropping Rasmus and punishing him as seeing if Chido can do a job for the team and refreshing our main striker. There were signs of some link up play with Zirkzee and some useful running off the ball.

Fair play, you had two goes and still didn't get it.
I'll add Oboe Chido. Lovely woodwind version.

Got to say, I don’t hate the idea of playing Garnacho at RWB. May as well try it...

Amad was able to get forward and produce a lot from wing back, and sitting narrow as an inside forward doesn’t suit Garnacho.

A genuine relegation six pointer. Can't lose this whatever we do. And the fact I'm worried about it says alot.

Ipswich are probably the best of the three promoted sides with a excellent coach who we know well. And considering how we struggled very recently against the other two at home I'm really not looking forward to this.

Depends if they want him to play in the Youth Cup semi against Arsenal on Friday.
