    3-5-2, cue rage from redcafe...

Didn't expect rojo to be back so soon though, good to see him. Expect herrera will get subbed on at some point to get some match fitness as he only just came back to the reserves recently.

I'm guessing it's something like this

    De Gea
    Valencia Smalling Rojo Young
    Carrick Fellaini
    Mata Rooney Di Maria
    RVP

    DDG
    Valencia - Smalling - Rojo - Young
    Carrick
    Fellaini - Di Maria
    Rooney
    Mata - Van Persie

    feck knows.

It's a diamond/3-5-2 hybrid I reckon. Carrick being the pivotal player between CB and midfield.

3-5-2... normally I'd hate it, but I think it could work for this game... only negative for me is RVP starting over Wilson/Falcao.

Van Persie was always likely to start, but Herrera STILL not starting is just disappointing really. Home to Hull is literally the perfect game to give him some time from the start.

RVP is bound to score after most of the caf ripping into his selection. He's still capable of delivering the goods, although he seems to have lost a bit of spark.

Looks like a 3-5-2 with Smalling, Carrick and Rojo.. Valencia and Young WB's. Di Maria through the middle though

    -----------De Gea
    ----Smalling-Carrick-Rojo
    Valencia---------------Young
    -------Fellaini-Di Maria----
    -------------Mata
    -------Rooney--RVP

I guess that's it? Or possibly switch Di Maria's and Rooney's positions.

Herrera must of slipped one in Van Gaals wife, admitted to being guilty of the match fixing claims behind the scenes AND got caught farting in Van Gaals cereal to keep losing out to Fellaini. He has been decent but Herrera was quality before the rib injury.

Im now starting to fear for his utd future. What a joke

Still no Herrera, Van Persie still starts.

I am also disappointed cause I would have loved to see Herrera start. Don't let him become the next Kagawa, a fine player who never gets a foot on the ground at our club.

I would have also dropped Van Persie... on the other side we all know that LVG loves him and it could be a good match for a striker to get some confidence. That's why I am not surprised to see him in the starting eleven.

Is that the end of "an academy player in every starting XI" thing we had going, or did that include the subs?

Fellaini instead of Herrera once again. I think i'm going to cry.
Herrera only just came back from injury and played 90 minutes in the u21's, was never going to start. Maybe will midweek or next week, but Van gaal usually gives them a sub appearance to get fitness before throwing them in the starting 11.

Mata, Rooney, Di Maria and RVP in the team. We should have more then enough to score some goals.

    I'm guessing it's

    Smalling Carrick Rojo
    Velencia Fellaini Di Maria Young
    Mata
    Rooney RVP

i think McNair should be playing, he's earned it. feck all this is one of those lineups LVG seems to pull out of his backside every now and again.
di Maria not on the wing? that will help.

    DDG
    Smalling Carrick Rojo
    Valencia Fellaini Di Maria Young
    Mata
    Rooney - van Persie
    Errr? Surely not?

Please no wrist sliting before the game has even taken it's course. I remember the reaction to the team sheet last week.

    Embarrassing.
