    I'm not being funny but the majority of my Sunday team would score that chance on a dog shit covered playing field after 15 pints the night before.

    It's cool to hate rashford, I get it, but he definitely wasn't at fault there.

    I don't think they did, but if you're in Fulham's shoes you definitely feel like you had the point in the bag.

    It was a bad pass though. Weird post to get annoyed at. He agreed that Garnacho should have still scored, but the pass was hopeless.
     
    A bit lucky in the end. Maguire was immense, thought Mount & Mazraoui were very good. Bruno & Rashford were pants. Lost midfield after the subs, but Mount was probably knackered as he didn’t stop for 60 mins. Not sure where we go from here, still not enough goals in the team. We are going to need 20 more than last season to have a chance of top 4, even with a better defence.
     
    As long as we stopped being stupidly open, we can defend fine. Our attacking play has been shit for a while, and last season our abysmal defense made a lot of people overlook our clueless attack where we were dependent on players basically pulling a goal through some moment of individual brilliance of the opposition mistakes.

    Ye that’s true. Luckily aswell our defence look a lot stronger this year so will help us grind a few wins.
     
    I doubt we'll keep getting away from giving the opposition a 3 on 2 everything we loose the ball from our setpieces

    I’d give Maguire MOTM. Don’t think you can give Zirkzee an 8, pretty anonymous until he scored. Not sure Bruno deserves 7 either. Just my opinion though.
     
    Not understanding the hate for Rashford, had as good a game as anyone, gave it 100%, his form looks off, but seems like people just got the knives out regardless
     
    Was a solid performance.

    If you can force yourself to be positive (I know it’s hard to do on the Cafe) that was a few connections away from a 3-0.

    Bruno could have had a brace and it was harder to miss that Rashford/Garnacho chance than it was to score.

    McT plus Zirkzee might turn out to be winning formula in terms of scoring.
     
    Impressed overall. I liked the pressing but didn't like when we were exposed at the back on the counter, but them is the breaks i guess. :lol: happy with the win and a good performance.

    There is no doubt that he put in more effort today than he did last season.

    A bit harsh on Onana given he kept a clean sheet and was very solid with what work he did have. He seems generally calmer than the first few months of his Utd career.

    Storybook debut for Zirkzee. Could and probably should have been a lot more comfortable than the final score really.
     
    Very happy. For 1st game and with some of these guys only having for back from holidays recently, some big positives. Main negatives is we are susceptible still to breaks through the middle (although I’m not sure you can ever truly stop this if you want to press aggressively) but the worst remains our finishing. Should have been 2-3 nil today.
     
    Great win, average performance, lots of work for ETH but he made the right subs at the right time. We need Zirkzee up to fitness quickly he finds space beautifully and his touch is silk and he’s probably only 75% fit.
     
    I thought Rashford did fine maybe not the best player who was on the pitch, but still better than some are making out to be. There were still moments where he got up the pitch and he was on his own, some of his decisions were bad but some created good chances. I still think Rashford was better than Amad over the course the whole game, and Garnacho's miss might just keep him on the bench for the next one. We'll have 8 days to recover so it should give time for the team to get more ready for Brighton.

    Bruno definitely should've scored and as the game went on some of his wilder passes didn't help control the game at the end. Mainoo I thought actually took some time to get into the game, and Case is definitely making a case for himself this season. Mount was okay but definitely looks like he'll have an up and down season. It always feels like our defenders always seem to get rocked by Traore the only good thing is his touch is utter shit.
