    I think he’s patchy. Sometimes he’ll pull out something top class like that double save against palace, and another day he’ll parry one into the path of a striker, or barely get fingers to something fairly straight forward.

    That’s when he isn’t diving out of the way of it or doing something else generally baffling.

    Bruno was fine until their goal. Also had a couple chances. Kobbie just kept turning in to trouble and passing it away, and did nothing of note at all. Really surprised

    The most worrying part of this team is our front three who ever we select just don’t score goals and that puts the team under pressure, if we are 0-0 or 1-0 then every opponent is always in the game right to the 95th minute.

    I don't get Ugarte. He looks like another expensive mistake. No record of scoring goals or assists, the best you can say is he looks solid-ish.. But we need better than that.

    He wouldn't. We are the flipside to West Ham. They got rid of Moyes who delivered for them. It was a clear "be careful what you wish for" position. We are different. We are sticking with a manager whose recruitment choices have been bloody awful and the structure of the team remains a total mystery. He has to.go.

    Exactly. My dad would probably be better than ten Hag at this point but it doesn’t mean that we should hire him.

    Yeah true. I saw it again and Maz was in position to cut out the pass, so Onana should have been guarding the near post and trust his defender. His positioning is a weakness for sure.

    I'm at the end of my tether with Ten Hag. I'm.not trigger happy but we know what to expect from United. Bad recruitment, poor team structure, lack of leadership and woeful inconsistency. The coach has to go. Get it Tuchel

    Goldbridge, if you’re reading this you need to apologize to club supporters. Enough is enough. We can’t be dropping points to clubs like Palace and Twente and explain this away as part of a process.

    Ah I was talking about Unnerstall actually, though I suppose Onana is sort of similar. Far better with his feet though.

    Onana just seems, I dunno, a nutcase at times.
     
    The players should sit, listen to Twente players and fans celebrating and let it sting.

    Amad by the way, needs to start playing again like a hungry young player.

    Me too. I go back to the Tommy Doc days but at least then there was a swagger and sexiness to our football. Our equals in terms of fan reach are Real and Barca. They would have long since dumped Ten Hag for his management of the side. Who is talking to Bruno?. He seems to have carte blanche to.do whatever. And it too often doesn't work. I love him when he is at it and not waving his hands around, diving, moaning or trying to play killer balls that aren't on. He needs guidance like the team needs structure.

    What makes it worse is how long we chased. Him when there are two or three Young South American midfield players we could have bought for the combined fee.

    The bigger issue here is that ETH is obsessed with playing a 4-1-2-3 which we don’t have the players to play that way and most teams have moved on from that formation anyway. Look at Rhodri he sits normally next to another midfielder Who might be 5-10 yards advanced, whether kovacic, KDB or Gundogan they simply rate more and have a better collective midfield shape, Arsenal, Liverpool, Villa, Newcastle and Spurs are all the same?

    Only ETH adopts a 3-1-6 that completely vacates the midfield and then burns out the players with all the needless running they need to make, his football does not work in the EPL he has lost 25 games from 81 that’s 31% no other coach in the top 4 or 5 would survive that let alone one of 5 biggest clubs in world football!

    If Bayern, Barcelona or Ream Madrid lost 7 or 8 games which is a domestic loss rate of 20% then the coach would be sacked, no one is looking to recruit ETH.

    Time to Go Eric, the debate is finally over!

    Nah, we can lose the next three and all we will get is some nonsense on how it has to take time and we are fully behind him. As long as he has overwhelming fans support he will be safe and we will keep producing excuses.

    He will probably get a result at the weekend and all this talk will stop. He doesn’t actually need to do much to feel completely secure.

    Watch last night Ugarte seems to charging around he’s deeper than Dalot who inverts, hardly any of our players are in Twente Penalty box when we attack we have 6 attacking players who form a very close obtuse hexagonal, this is why we don’t score goals, Zirkzee comes deep, facilitates the play Mainoo is 10 yards deeper and Eriksen goes mostly left to help Rashford why Bruno goes mainly right to link with Amad, tell me where the supposed front three are in the opposition 6 yard box in open play.

    Look at the stats 19 shots 5 on target, very few in the penalty box, against a team with a wage bill of £10m per year against a European powerhouse you’d expect us to be parked in their Half playing a half line with our strikers parked in their penalty area but those strikers were 5/10 yards from their midfield colleagues, this is a coaching issue and he’s had numerous games now to implement his ideas and style, it’s simple ETH does not work for Man United and when he picks up 0 to 2 points in the next three games everyone will agree that this experiment has gone on 10 games to long?
     
    Dalot & Ugarte sat at a similar line, Dalot pushes up while Ugarte covers his left side and the defenders fan out to cover the back in a 3, you then have Bruno, zirzkee & Eriksen all operating too closely and Amad tucks in to compound this and even Rashford despite being further forward often wasn't stretching the play...

    I don’t think formations are the issue, or who rotates to which spot. It’s about the application of instructions in-game, game intelligence, performing well (not givingvthe ball away continuously for starters), adapting if things go differently than expected.

    It’s absolutely a coaching issue: let’s assume the tactics and formations are good, it’s then a matter putting out a team that can overcome difficulties, with the right players and right instructions.

    To answer your questions: The players are supposed to create overloads up front on one side to create space in the middle and on the far side.

    Dalot was one of the front two of the midfield box, which is fine. We saw the same with Shaw in the first season.
