Manchester United 1:0 FC Copenhagen

I'm looking forward to the game, but I'm not expecting a blowout score like 5-0. Copenhagen are hard to beat, and good defensively. Well-drilled zone-orientated team defensively. They've only conceded more than one goal twice in their last 42 games in European competitions. They also held Atalanta to 0-0 over two games last season.

United should definitely win, and I think Copenhagen will struggle with the short, quick passes and third man runs that United have been doing, but I'd be surprised if it's a huge win. Hoping for a 2-0 win.

He only scored 23 league goals, their next was at 14 and the next was in at 5. By comparison, Martial and Rashford each had 17 and Greenwood had 10.

So Lukaku wasn't plan B for Inter, he was the only plan. Generally speaking, we are much more versatile than they are.

But let's get there, first. We have our games to win, Inter has theirs. I don't exactly relish yet another tie against Wolves.

After that the difficulty will spike up as the likes of Sevilla and Inter Milan will be in the Champions League next season.

I just hope we dont get Wolvfica again for the 5th time this season, as those matches are boring as feck.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned so far about this game is the weather in Cologne, It will be 29c for kick off tonight hard to see a fast pace, high energy game played in that heat and if its Sevilla in the semi finals who are more use to playing in such heat it becomes more troublesome.

Likewise, although Sevilla look good (as a team, I thought better than RM and Barcelona in the ECL matches) and Wolves now look as if they're running on fumes, so if they do make it past Sevilla, they're going to be really depleted with their small squad.

Tbh I'm ready for us to beat all the Sevilla, etc. then give Inter the title with both hands in the final. As a gesture of say thanks for what they have done for us.

These guys hardly lose, and whenever they do, it’s never a hammering. We’re Man United and should be beating Barca, let alone Kobenhavn, but let’s not underestimate them. They’re a good team who would get top 10 in the Prem.

Not been overly impressed with Inter since the restart, defensively they are all over the place and our front three will have a field day, and i'd fancy us to beat Sevilla in a one off match, not so much over two legs.

It'll be our strongest 11 tonight to ensure we get the job done, thats why we played the 2nd string against LASK to get them a little more in shape in case we need them due to injuries/suspensions.

A 2-0 seems like a sensible prediction. I don't see it being a walkover and Copenhagen will be looking to frustrate us as much as possible. I expect it'll be a slow game with chances kept low in the first half.

Would be awesome if we blitzed them in the first 10 minutes to grab an early goal or two. We usually play much better after we've scored, it just seems to settle us.

I think Ole will pick the same starting outfield 10, as started against Leicester, which should be enough to win tonight, but I am concerned about the space we leave in our midfield with Matic and Pogba together. The last few matches, against Southampton, Villa, Palace, West Ham and Leicester, showed that we tend to leave holes there, that can be exploited. We will face better teams than any of those five if we go on this competition, and better teams will not miss the chances that some of those teams did. I would prefer Pogba and Fernandes to play in a similar position, which means one getting subbed for the other generally, but there may be games where we have to play both together, if we are chasing a game.

Forgot about Sevilla, they are always a threat. I think the point here is we'll have to be at our best if we want to win the competition, especially in these one-off encounters where anything can happen.

That said, I think we have the best team of those remaining in the competition. My only concern is being without Luke Shaw, we're clearly a better outfit with him in the side.

I've got my confident knickers on and gone for 4-1 in the scoreline predictor but I wouldn't be surprised if tonight is our toughest match remaining in the competition even if we go on to win it.
