Yeah, he’s an “absolute terror” with his pace and his dribbling, but he’s the kind who simply doesn’t have enough in the final third. Reason Leicester let him go in the first place
I'm ok with having his pace and dribbling to stretch defenses and then he can give it to the better finishers in the final third.

    Pen incident - 3:1 Rashford

That was a really nice pass from McT to Fred to start that off. I mean he gave himself the opportunity to win another tackle after a poor pass to start with but nice counter.

Good win, the last thing we needed was a replay sandwiched in between the City and Arsenal fixtures.

    100%.

Thank goodness we have a lower league team on Tuesday to rotate a few players pre City.

You hope there's plans for a striker, as we're right on the borderline of bare bones with only Martial as a proper central striker right now.

Am hoping we get a 'kind' draw for the next round...

Unlucky tonight, dominated the game but couldn't finish you off and some terrible refereeing decisions let you back in the game. Enjoy the next round you fakers.

    suck it

Dominated, hahaha. Just focus on trying to stay up

Am really looking forward to my trip to your ground next season.

    With Wycombe hahaha

Not a great performance but we ground it out over a woeful side that raised their game tonight.

But that’s the thing — he can’t do that. He’s not an insightful passer. At the age of 26, that side of his game isn’t going to drastically develop. His ilk of winger is a dime a dozen and you’ll often find them at clubs like Everton, whilst the top 6 clubs tend to go for wingers who do more in the final third themselves.

When do we ever have an easy game against Everton?

Doesn’t matter where they are. Can’t remember last time we had it easy against them

Some of you need to learn about white text.

On a serious note I thought you worked hard tonight and should stick with this set up.

Bit concerning that they are raising a level for the bigger games mind and not putting that effort in week in week out?

Hope Iwobi is okay for you

We just need to stick with 5-3-2. It gives us the best chance of getting points as it suits the players we have. We don't have the intensity or compactness when we play 4-3-3.

Agreed. Its how you played end of last season and against City and us. I understand it’s not what he wants to play but you just don’t have the players and have no creativity in the centre.

Im sure neither Varane or Casemiro will be anywhere near the team on Tuesday, just got to hope we don't bring in too many players from the cold otherwise even if Charlton are a lower league side it could be a struggle
Hopefully Rashford, Eriksen and Bruno don't start either.

The level of skill/talent between our strikers today (Martial...... that alone is a problem - 1 striker) and Rooney Tevez Berbatov.... don't know how we got here from where we were. Mistake after mistake after mistake.

Glad things are actually looking up short and long term now.
We’re fortunately filling the cracks with excellent wing and attacking midfield play. But we are a couple of injuries away from back to square one if we don’t sign one if not two top class central forwards/strikers.

Quite true, and not only do we rarely have it easy against Everton, we rarely have it easy against anyone in the PL. That may be turning around if we can continue to improve, but for now we still make hard work it over clubs like Everton.

Like I just said in the post match thread don't want to hear moaning about who he signs. Yes we do need some cover for Case too but we won't get that until the summer.
