I genuinely can't believe Fellaini is a starter for us. He is not good enough. Why is he on the pitch??? What does it say about our gameplan that he is playing??? Not even Pulis would want him.

So many of our players also can't receive the ball to feet and turn, I thought that was a basic skill but apparently not.

Ander has played fairly well. Showing why he was missed. Everyone else has been pretty underwhelming.

Last season we had a manager who coached every single element of the attack. Apparently that was too restrictive that's why we couldn't make chances. Now we have a manager who gives our players freedom. Apparently he needs to coach the attack more cos we keep missing. Could it just be that we have too many bottle jobs and not enough winners?

Justified really. You have a stadium ful of people that have travelled from all over the place and spent good money on a match where the team don't even look bothered.

Imagine if Real or Barcelona were playing like this, there would be riots!
It's not that the players don't look bothered, they just aren't effective for whatever reason. Whether that's done to tactics or lacking the requisite intelligence to make better decisions or what I don't know. We're directionless for some strange reason. I really wonder what we do in training.

So many mediocre players on the field today, it's painful given how much we've spent.
This is what it comes down to. It's not even the fault of the following players that we are so mediocre, it's on the people that have built this roster. These guys wouldn't be bought by teams above us if they were available.

    Young
    Fellaini
    Lingard
    Rojo
    Rashford
    Carrick
    Blind
Herrera (standing out among this lot says nothing)

    You can add in:
    Jones
    Rooney
    Smalling
    Darmian

It's funny they were actually on the bench tonight but players like Mhki and Martial should regularly be on our bench. Only problem is there should actually be better players on the field ahead of them, not a bunch of future West Ham players.

Do you want to say zlatan has missed 18 clear cut chances this season again humphries you insuffurable cnut in case anyone missed it the first few times.

Why should de Gea come out and run through his defender? On a ball that's coming in low, even? Clutching at straws there mate.

Clutching at straws? I'm one of De Gea's biggest fans. He is 100% at fault for that if he didn't get a shout off Rojo that he had it. The ball was lobbing with no pace towards them, De Gea was in a position to drive a fist over them, neither of them were jumping/in the air.

Fellani does not even attack the space on the counters to revive the pass from young.

I have that same horrible feeling I had last season under Van Gaal where you know we won't score and if we concede that's pretty much game over.
Yep. And it's even more frustrating this year when we even have the chances to score and just keep missing.

As things stand back to 6th and one of the games we have in hand is City away. We need to get the finger out, if we don't wake up and turn this around in the second half we might as well kiss goodbye to top four.

That was all over at the weekend. All eggs well-and-truly in the Europa League basket, our only chance of CL football next season now.

Our attack is so static right now I'm surprised the Everton players don't get shocked when they touch our players

I'm guessing West Brom have actually been trying to get a goal against them though, which obviously makes it easier to score against them.
I expect so yes, just seems an extra annoying insult to the injury just now

Scored less goals at home than Hull apparently. It's a fecking disgrace.

Just bring on 3 subs. Pogba, Mkhitaryan and Martial. Get Fellaini and the two academy graduates off.

No idea why we dont play with 2 strikers at home. Can someone please tell me why the f*ck we play with 3 cm's at home in the premier league in a must win game. Cowardly tactics

Had we converted the 3 clear-cut chances in that half we would be leading 3-1.
I love these type of comments of people assuming the game would have taken the exact same route had we scored one of those chances.

We are cursed in the league. Just play the under 18s from next game on.

Watford put their 2nd past West Brom

More proof that it's not just every team raising their game against us or us being unlucky.

If every team you play against defends like they have Nesta and Maldini at the back and every keeper plays like Buffon then there's a deep rooted problem.

Really poor attacking play from us once again. There a few times where we have the window to attack and push forward, everyone just sticks to their positions. Fellaini don't run forward, Rashford just hugs the left side flanks and stays there. Young don't overlap enough for the first 35mins, leaving Herrera to do his job.

One time Zlatan was holding up the ball while Everton scramble to surround him, guess where the red shirts were? All far behind Zlatan. Rashford and Lingard were no where to be found. For god's sake run behind the defense and make yourself open. What's the point of having a forward holding the ball if none of the wingers make runs? It's even worst when considering Rashford is suppose to be a striker himself! Cut inside and force the Everton defense to shift their markings!

Another time when Herrera was in position to make a cross. Rashford was still lingering outside of box on the far left! Get in the box! Fellaini as well, he was parallel to Carrick! What's the point of playing Fellaini if his not even in the box to head it?

We need to sub Rashford for Martial, instruct him to play like an inside forward, not a winger. Sub Fellaini for Pogba because he is useless to us right now.

This team is playing far too rigidly. I don't know if this was Jose's call or our players are just incapable of fluid movements, but this needs to change asap or we can kiss both top 4 and Europa goodbye.

We're so toothless. Zlatan far too isolated.

I don't understand what Jose is trying to do here. He looks just as lost as the players

No idea why we dont play with 2 strikers at home. Can someone please tell me why the f*ck we play with 3 cm's at home in the premier league in a must win game. Cowardly tactics
Wasn't expecting Carrick to play today. Thought it would either be Herrera/Fellaini or hopefully with Pogba.

I don't mind Lingard actually. Carries the ball FORWARD at pace, looks FORWARD for a pass and actually displays some semblance of movement off the ball. I'd rather that than the insufferable interchange of 5 yard sideways and backward passes.[/QUOTE
Lingard has good movement but is he meant to be playing on the right side? Because he always seems to drift into the middle. Is he being allowed to do this? If he drifts into midfield then we have 4 in midfield yet we are being dominated by Everton's 3 in midfield.

Watford now 2-0 up against WBA.

It's a sad state of affairs when Troy fecking thug Deeney can do something that Martial, Mickey ad Rashford failed epically at a few days ago.

    There's a fundamental difference.

Wba play a different game against Watford - they don't defend like they do against United.

Mourinho was once the king of counter attacking. What's happened?
Think he changed his game plan with us, or tired of being the one who park the bus and play on counter although it worked with him every where, but he said at Madrid i had the players who can play fast at counter.

Hair dryer treatment. Come on Jose

I suspect the silent treatment is more likely. The players will stumble out slightly confused, Herrera will give them a "come on lads" clap and they'll feel a little better, start the half with a little spring in their step, and revert to shit within 5 minutes. Repeat to 6th.

It's being so positive what keeps me goin' guv!
