Never a penalty in the first place.

The penalty shouldn't have been made to be retaken.

DDG did the same for the second penalty so if it is going to be retaken for coming off his line the first time, why was it not made to be retaken the second time?

Refereeing is becoming a shambles and VAR is not consistent.

Well these are the rules - horrible horrible rules though. The ball was hit from so close to Lindelof's arm - not sure how he could have avoided it. At this rate, strikers will aim for people's arms instead of the goal from now on.

The goalkeeper rule will ensure that all penalties are scored going forward. The instinctive jump is what makes saves at such short reaction times possible and if they take it away then there is no hope. Might as well give them the goal directly instead of the perfunctory penalty.

The rules are bollocks but unfortunately with the way they are it is probably a penalty and it did need to be retaken. We've been shit anyway, even if we did have a real case to complain about the decisions we don't really deserve any better.

If we somehow end up scoring a goal, or two, it'll be very, very frustrating that we got jobbed on those two calls. However, we've literally looked dangerous for exactly 0 seconds of this game thus far, so one can only be so mad at the Mr. Magoo-esque refereeing performances we're seeing.

Gary's going into it all now. There have been problems with the interpretations of rules all along in football but since VAR has come in it's like the authorities have tried to find ways to look stupid with ridiculous ruling after ridiculous ruling.
