    TFM tracking back for that last chance for Palace was really poor. Fernandes and Pogba back before him and he is basically walking. Good save by De Gea towards the end. Everyone has looked a bit sloppy but that’s a given due to luck of game time. McTominay and James shouldn’t be anywhere near this team for me. Average players.
     
    Sloppy and uninspiring first half from United. We are going to have to seriously improve if we are wanting to get anything from this game.
     
    Hopefully the board sees this and realize this team is not warranted top 4 and their income is in danger, since thats all they care about.
     
    Still, fecking tumescent. 30 seconds left in the first half HURRY UP with the set pieces.

    James is not good enough, has no football brain either. McTominay playing to the level of his opponents as usual, and Rashford looks like he has given up on football.
     
    Ole, please, please, please make subs at the half-time. There is exactly zero reason why this team can turn the game around without subs. Please don't waste 20 more minutes
     
    As long as Ole is here if we don't have our strongest XI, we'll always suffer.
     
    The only success of that first half is to show we need new signings!

    It would help if we looked like we were coached at all or had any tactics. Think Ole is really lucky all the pressure has been on Woodward and the Glazers. Fortunately for himself, the other managers before him weren't so lucky.
     
    I wonder if DVDB was told we would be strengthening with world class talent.

    His face in the stands looked like most of ours must look.

    He only makes sense off the left. That was where he played quite well at the start of last year I feel.

    We can't deal with balls from wide areas. Anyone who manages to ping a low ball across the face of our box stands a good chance of it getting to a teammate. We simply don't cut out those kind of crosses.

    Palace have controlled the game from start to end. They would have come to Old Trafford aiming to get ahead and then sit back and counter. The game has gone entirely to plan from their perspective. The idea that we've improved cos we've had more ball since they scored misunderstands tactics. It'd be like being happy you had more possession than a Simeone side.

    Really, really poor.
     
    Pure disaster. Noone is playing well. Shaw and Mensah tries in attack, but the quality ball is low.
    Martial has nothing to work with really so hard to blame him.
    Pogba and Bruno have been awful and must do better.
     
    1st half is a 3/10 for me. There have been zero quality from United this half at both ends of the pitch. Crystal palace looks much more coherent as a team and deserves leading at half time.

    That’s absolute knee jerk rubbish, both Fred and Matic were very good for extended runs of games last season.

    We have a shite right side and our left is not doing any better. Lindelof should never be a starter for us, ever.

    We may end up playing catch up from the first weekend. Woodward and the Glazers can feck right off. Dan James as our right winger. Jesus wept.
     
    New season, same shit. We are seriously finished as a major club in the long run unless we sort this mess both internally and on the pitch.

    McTominay, TFM and James are not United quality. Not top four quality. McTominay is barely Premier League quality and the other two's futures lie in the Championship at best. What the feck are they doing starting the first game of the season?

    Top four is a fecking pipe dream if this is the best we can do at home to Palace.

    Pogba and mctominay as a combination doesn’t work at all. They’re both too big and slow. We need fred in there to speed things up.
