I don't see Mctominay complaining about the crossing
The same cross, that finally found a man, in which Hojlund made a run and practically got to the same spot as McTominay? What are you watching? McTominay is able to get those chances because of how busy Hojlund is across the front line.

Look at where Hojlund starts the run, and yet finds his way to where McTominay is.

If you ignore the shocking performance against Newcastle, there is an upwards trend in performances from us. Vs Everton was decent but defensively poor. Galatasaray the same again but in a more difficult game. Now an actual strong performance against Chelsea.

We'll need a significant step up to get anything against Liverpool. Attacking's been looking better but we're still full of holes defensively.

I’m glad we have managed to bench the player who slows down attacks by standing over the ball and facing off the defender before either passing it square or passing it backwards or running directly into the defender with a player who stands over the ball facing off a defender before either passing it square or passing it backwards or running directly into the defender.
None of our attackers did that today. This weird agenda of pretending Garnacho isn’t a constant threat is bizarre!

A much needed win and a much needed performance.
Finally, some fight, guts and determination.
Amrabat might have lost the ball a couple of times early in the first half, but he was a pivotal figure in midfield, closing down and nipping in to pick up the loose balls and providing close support for his team mates in the battles.
He provided a much needed steadying in the middle of the park.
For work rate and impact, he was my MOTM.

We still can’t score and this will continue to be our undoing.
Chelsea could have had the luck in the last 1 minutes and nicked a point.
Next up, an in form Bournemouth, so no complacency FFS.

Thought Garnacho mixed it up well tonight, that final pass or shot never quite materialised (saying that he got an assist  )

We spent 70 million on player to be "busy", money well spent...

We spent it on potential. And we spent it on a finisher, of which someone needs other to create for. That's the job of a striker. Welcome to football.

Very good performance tonight. A bit of pace, aggression and energy for a change. Need to replicate that EVERY game!

Caveats. Chelsea were shit, really shit, and Sanchez in goal was a disaster for them.

But something to build on I hope.

Hes just relentless. Yes he makes errors but people undervalue how hard it is to find a player that just over and over terrorises hiss opponent. The end product will come im sure of it, but in the meantime hes a still a very dangerous player.

Agreed! He can be frustrating (the scissor kick  ) but I think overall he's getting more mature and the ball gravitates to him over and over.

What Rashford needs is situations like tonight. His efforts for Man United versus the shift he outs in for England off the ball are night and day because his place at United has basically been certain and under no threat whatsoever

Yeh, that’s been a problem for the squad for awhile to be fair

Its great to see him get a prolonged run in the side and i'd agree his performances are improving now.
