Daniel James has come from the Championship. I can't believe that anybody would expect him to step up from Championship to EPL, over one pre-season.
To explain how bad the Championship is - Fulham, last season in the EPL struggled to get wins. This season, they played their first Championship game and won.
I think some of you expect too much of new signings, who are "punts". I remember Dalot, last season, had the same expectations, even though he was clearly a youth player with virtually no experience.
James will be a decent option, off the bench, at around 70 minutes. And if he impresses, he may get to start some matches.Here we go again !

I am negative about our team this season and fully expect Ole to be fired in 2019.
But our defence looks insane - good enough to play against elite level teams in the CL.
It sucks that the board are unwilling to invest more than £70M per season in the squad.Very solid looking defence, and nice to see De Gea with the arm band.
The forward section leaves a lot to be desired unfortunately. And we need those payers giving their absolute best as manytof them have a lot to prove. We know Martial and Rashford can. But they need to do it more. But we'll all need a lot more convincing about Perreira and Lingard.
Nice to see Greenwood make the squad and that Tuanzebe seems to be the current 3rd choice. I expect James will be utilised late on in the game too. When his pace could be very effective.
