Seems both of us are going into the season relying on the academy players stepping up big time.Hoped for no Lingard and expected Matic to start but line up isnt very suprising.
Wouldn't mind a sending off for sliding in from behind..Gomes was sadly never going to get a look in. Hardly featured during pre season for some reason. Sad but what can you do. Hopefully Pereira and Lingard will perform.11/11 nice
Agreed. We should be stuffing this lot. No Hazard is going to be a massive blow for them.Let's hope the first 11 set track early on. Can't stand seeing Young and Mata bering subbed on beetween minute 60 and 70 to be useless as always.
Our midfield and attack are all academy players, bar Martial!Meh on Pereira. Understandable to go for a 3 though and good to see it's not Matic. Great lineup other than that. Understandable that its Mata ahead of Gomes, but thatll take time to change over the season naturally.Andreas right. Martial left. Rashy up top with Lingy right behind him. *those are terrible names. Not on Twitter atm so can't find them.Absolutely not a fan of Lingard but for what we saw in pre-season he's doing on the pitch exactly what ole wants so he is atm an asset, imo. He may be given minutes at the star of the season to not go nuts in including unexperienced players, which are the rest of the atacking lot at our disposal.
Pereira too, anyone whose giving him the sht might have not seen any game in pre season. As for the positions, again in pre season we saw mostly a front four, very fluidly. Expect to see Andreas switching from right to the middle with Lingard, and Tony switching wish Rashford often enough. Pretty exciting the attacking set-up for me, and as Ole slowly introduces Greenwood its only getting better
Missed Maguire on my prediction, I thought no pre-season meant one or two weeks of team training before coming in as a starter. Shows that Ole wants significant changes. Matic and Young on the bench, THANK ZEUS. Tunzebe given the nod over Smalling and Jones is also an improvement.

Honestly one more player in the window (Dybala, Erikson, Bruno... anybody) and this would be a very nice starting 11. Pereira looked pants in the pre-season and I expect more of the same.

Happy with Jones and Smalling off it. Just need to get Youngy off as well and Dalot in his place. But I'd still keep Smalling at least for Matic.
Think he will try to shift Rojo and Darmian abroad. Smalling and Jones might get games in lesser games, but if Maguire and Lindelof perform well, the Chuckle Brothers will be twiddling their thumbs for most of the season.That’s a really strong 11, if you switched Lingard and Perreira for two proper players for their position.
Shows that recruitment is going the right direction in my opinion.
