Not as disappointed as most, though when I first saw Fellaini's name, I was a bit anxious. But I'd like to give him a second chance, I think last season he was used a bit "aimlessly" by Moyes, I want to see if he can be useful with appropriate directives given by LvG. I thought he was good when he came on Monday. I'm more disappointed by the lack of Falcao (though of course it's not a choice in this instance) than Herrera today. Hope the Spaniard can come on for the last 20-30mns though, he didn't seem fit on Monday so he'll need game time.

Costa not on the Chelsea squad and their bench has Baker, Aké, Mikel, Zouma, Salah and Schürrle. Suddenly ours doesn't look so bad.

Absolutely pathetic, the lot of you. I'm not going anywhere near that thread from now on.

Januzaj did a poor performance last game. I don't think he's ready for big games like this.... And since it's 4-3-3 I definitely prefer Young on the wing.
The only place I want to see Young is at another club

I was hoping for Valencia over Fellani. Fellani had one good half but he's still way to slow and not good enough on the ball. I fear for us today.

Christ, you'd think we were going against an absolute juggernaut or the greatest side ever judging by some of the responses here.

It'll be much more competitive than many think. No Costa is a HUGE deal. His movement and runs would've destroyed us. Drogba can't do that anymore.

If Van persie and Fellaini have good games we'll be okay, No costa is a bit of a lift but with Fabregas in their midfield anyone of their forwards can get goals.

Our ability to pick up injurues really is outstanding.Last week we were looking forward to having almost the whole squad available.

Now were back to having 9 or 10 unavailable.Another one or two will probably be injured today. My money's on Rafael.

I'm sorry LVG has got this one wrong. Fellaini and Mata can't start in the same team. Not sure what LVG is thinking with that mess of a line-up he's put there..
Yes. You are definitely right and I think you have superior knowledge of the players and what their form is compared to LVG. You also have way better tactical knowledge than LVG.

I think the team is good, however, I don't think it's a good team to play Chelsea. I have a feeling we're gonna get pumped today. I'm not usually for this, but I sort of wish LVG was more negative in his line up.

No Costa is good news. I really don't want to think what he would have done to us in this form and with the way we are defending.

Anybody would think we're fielding United u-19s for this one.

Have some faith and wait and see, and don't forget - Old Trafford will be buzzing. We're going to shout the fecking house down for this one.

Alot of pessimism on here, but we had it good for so long. I am not happy with the team today but its a game of football. Lets try and enjoy it .

So question for all those crying about Januzaj, Mata and RVP. Who should, by your opionio, start instead of them?

With the injuries team should of been

    -------------De Gea-------------
    Rafael--Smalling--Rojo--Shaw
    --------------Blind-------------
    -----Carrick-------Herrera-----
    ------------Di Maria------------
    -------------Fellaini-------------
    ---------------RVP---------------

Too many players are getting a free run at being in the side, assuming we have players back for City I'd even dump RVP out of the above

Definitely a huge shame about no Herrera. I assume he'll come on in the second half but he's clearly not completely fit.

I guess Ashley Young was dropped altogether? He's not even on the bench... That's good news at least.
Young has got injured in training as well.

On a side note, happy for Januzaj. Hopefully he gets more confidence starting a second game in a row and puts in a great performance, him and Di Maria are capable of winning the game for us with their quality, no matter the opposition.

Jesus christ. What is wrong with you people ? The team is great, the best we can put out.

Herrera is not fit. Falcao is not fit. Rooney is suspended. Jones has another injury.

We are playing the guy who was our best player by far last week, and the only one who offers a physical threat. I'm willing to bet even Valencia would have played instead instead of Herrera.

LVG said last week we need a better physical presence.
