Darmian was awful today, performance was good and I was very impressed with our play.

Carricks wordly pass was quality, shame Martials scissor kick and the fake shot move never went in plus I also wouldnt mind him taking more free kicks if one like that is to be expected now and again but half a metre below.

Lingard, Martial and Herrera all MOTM for me.

Totally! Had a couple of sparks, but should've taken the chance to impress Mourinho. Don't see him getting any game time in the league after today's unimpressive run around.

What was Smalling doing also? Absolutely in no man's land, seemed as though he'd picked up Mason and then still let him run in behind him whilst he just stood there!

Pereira should probably just punch that away outwide for a throw/corner as well to be honest, not a good look for the defence all-round that goal.

Soft goal in the end, only real disappointment, especially as they'd actually created better chances early in the first half. Well, that and Shaw - didn't shy away from challenges but seemed slightly out of the match at points and puffing towards the end - first game back in fairness. CB pairing shaky-ish. Tony lovely football, should have put more away.

Jesse, Carrick and Mata dominated large parts of the game, Rashford clinical, Herrera good but too many back passes at points.

Absolutely should have been - did I guess have the one burst for the offside and great take. Neville made the same comments - that someone like him should be sprinting to his ball and showing a real intensity in order to win over the manager, much like Herrera was today to earn a spot.

Guess its to do with at-least 4 more players putting up bigger shows last night. Mata/Rashford a level up and Martial/Lingard another level up.

That's two of us. Still can't get why Shaw gets so much free-passes in this forum. He makes basic mistakes every game and still gets away with it. It's baffling.
We are Manchester United, a club that aspires to win every match. We can't afford the luxury to wait 3 years for a player to get the grasp of football.

Agree mate. I was very much standing behind him and shouting for him to get playing time and chances - but that's coz I saw some potential in the guy. I was very happy he was given 45 min and even if I saw glimpses of a very good player his commitment was far below par.
He should be given one more chance only - if he doesn't set on fire that left wing he shouldn't deserve the chance to don Man Utd shirt anymore.

I was one of those supporters a couple of seasons ago. But last season was really the limit for me. I'm starting to think he's already a lost cause in here and we should both move on, even with the risk of Shaw improving somewhere else, but we really cant afford a squad spot to a player that is not reliable.
