I think he just wanted options off the bench. Which was vindicated with the form of both Martial and Rashford when coming off the bench. Now we have Ibra and Fellaini back I expect them sot start together more often or not.

Its' not rocket science, Martial is now playing well and scoring, and he is apparently buying into Jose's tactics. That's all it took, there was never any rift.

Jose rates him more highly than Rashford, that's why Martial keeps his LW position while Rashford is shunted to the right. And unfortunately, we don't have a good RW to displace Rashford there either.

In the scheme of things, 3 consecutive starts isn't that much over a 50+ game season. He's not had a run of 4-5+ starts since Van Gaal was manager.

Best available. I think Zlatan in for Mata is a no brainer if he can show the sort of form he showed prior to his injury. Last year he carried the team at times, I think he could be a lot better for us this season with more players chipping in with goals, assists, etc.

Also Bailly and Rojo are our best CBs imo, both coming in for Smalling and Lindelof would be best. Jones perhaps the best when fit, but that's always going to be a case of what if.

I think Zlatan has it in him to take a step back from the goalscoring burden and act as some sort of elder sage providing for others to shine. Would be a great reinvention, fitting of a great player.

The actual Cantona role in essence, albeit with slight differences. Cantona did a lot of his best work from deep in his latter years.

Doubt any of his haters will appreciate Mourinho's sqaud management which I think is fantastic. Now we have Ibra back, and so can have an attacking option of the bench, we can finally see Rashford and Martial start together. Its now up to them to prove it can work.

What are you basing this on? What exactly has he done this season that makes you think he is "well worthy"?

I can't deny his commitment, but I'd expect nothing less for a homegrown player, on a bumper contract who is out of their depth at the club. He's basically a mascot who dances, models kits and keeps Rashford company.
