The best thing would be for Rashford and Hojlund to score today.

A clean sheet would be great! but you have to give the defence a bit of leeway at the moment because they are constantly juggling players coming in and out with injuries.

    2 - 1

I think this is a must win. Not only that I think it has to be a huge performance for the full 90 minutes.

We will lose first half, then win the game.

It will be the biggest scare for ETH reign. It will be like Man United vs Newcastle 3-2 game. We will eventually win the big, with the easiest change.

Fairly likely to lose again I think. Brentford will score from a set piece.

I'm so sick of the stupid 3pm kick off not being on tv rule, it makes no sense anymore. Seems to be our most common kick off time too.

silver lining and all that, but the fact that we look so beatable now means at least teams will come after us, so that should play to one of our strengths on the counter...

Sadly not only do teams not fear United, they also know exactly how to play against them and not give Rashford/Bruno the space behind they need.

    New records on the line:

    1) Lose today and United will have lost five of their first eight league matches for the first time since 1986. In November of that year, Alex Ferguson came down from Aberdeen.

    2) United have not lost three successive home games in a season since October 1962, when the club was still recovering from the trauma of the Munich air disaster. The last time they lost three on the spin at home in the league was in February 1979.

    3) As for Brentford, they last won at Old Trafford in 1937, the year Jack Nicholson was born.

Please tell me how Lindelof would be any good as a RB in the Premier League?
He is as slow as a wet week and as passive as feck!
If we don't commit the whole team forward aimlessly and keep our back 6 home, he can do a job there. If I see Amrabat at left back again, I'll just change the channel. Last thing I want to do is to waste another weekend depressed.

Hojlund to score again, I'll say 1-3 as I don't think anyone else on our team will score and I reckon Onana will be looking to ship a few goals with the inevitable defensive shambles.

    It’s just a formality now.

I'm actually pleasantly surprised that the managers from Moyes to Ole left these records untouched. Nothing like the present time to plumb new depths.

Dude please! It’s a joke based on his name and playing style. We got to stop all this post shaming on the cafe. People be afraid to write anything!
I agree. Nothing wrong with the post imo, definitely no intention to shame the post or the poster.

I was trying to say it was a very apt and funny nickname for him, based on his name and playing style. It’s just a shame that some people will associate a name like that with the kind of terrible treatment that black players have had to endure over the years and for that reason, we can’t adopt that as his nickname; I wish we could.

When a stat like this gets mentioned usually means it happens
The shocking thing is that it is even being discussed as a likely (even a possible) outcome. The disarray at the club is something to behold. But I think we’ll win.

I read somewhere Brentford has never scored at old Trafford but I guess that’s wrong

The thing is, no one can be confident any longer that we’ll get the win over the next hapless opponent. Any hapless opponent. Even at Old Trafford.

Rumours Rashford has been dropped ?
    About time.
feck knows where his confidence went. It’s the start of the season, everybody should be playing free for a few games yet.
How he’s suddenly lost all confidence is beyond me. My only guess is it’s his friendship with Sancho that’s got him underperforming.

This is a bad omen, Jack Nicholson was born and we are a bunch of Jokers

do we still having that winning at HT winning at FT record or something like that?

Oh, it's at Trafford. In that case, slight advantage us.

There's no advantage for us at Old Trafford right now. . Wolves should have beat us and we were lucky to get a penalty against Forest to win that one after going down 0-2 in the 1st 5 minutes.

Looking forward to seeing an Antony, Hojlund and Garnacho front 3 if Rashford does get dropped and let's be honest, he should be.

I got hammered here for making the same point a few weeks ago re our underperforming left winger. Let’s see if the Rashford brigade comes after you too.

Think we'll win either way as in how we've setup in the past matches but I'd like to see Case/Amra in midfield with just one of Mount/Eriksen/Bruno and another defender covering for leftback instead.
