Brentford Football Club (nicknamed The Bees) is a professional football club based in Brentford, West London, England. The club was founded in October 1889, as the local sportsmen's latest attempt to form a permanent football or rugby club in the town. By 1896, Brentford had joined the London League, progressing to the Southern League in 1898 and entering the Football League in 1920. Upon the appointment of Harry Curtis as manager in 1926 came the beginning of Brentford's most successful period, with promotions in 1933 and 1935 taking the club into the top-flight of English football for the first time in its history. Three consecutive top-six finishes in the First Division established Brentford as one of the top clubs in England, but a decline began in 1938 which led to the club's relegation back to the Third Division South by 1954.

Recently, after two failed playoff campaigns in six Championship seasons, Brentford were promoted into the Premier League after victory in the 2021 Championship play-off Final (reaching the highest level of the English football pyramid for the first time since the 1946–47 season). Brentford's main rivals are Fulham and Queens Park Rangers. The club have a long standing rivalry with Fulham. In the past this fixture has been marred by crowd violence. Brentford's rivalry with Queens Park Rangers intensified in 1967, when Rangers failed in an attempted takeover of the Bees, a move which, had it succeeded, would have seen Rangers move into Griffin Park and Brentford quit the Football League. Brentford play their home games at the Brentford Community Stadium.

Not confident we will win this either. Especially if Ten Hag stubbornly sticks to his weird set up and personnel choices.

Absolutely must win, especially if spurs win tomorrow. Anybody besides fecking WW up top please

Nothing knee jerk as I predicted we’d lose today but I honestly would not be a tiny bit surprised if we get beat again although I think we will draw.

I’m certainly in the camp of we will bottle top 4. I’m sure we’ll lose another two away, at least, based on our form this season so far, so for me if we do not win all our remaining games at OT we’ll finish 5th or 6th and unfortunately I think we will fail in the first one. Brentford are a good team and score goals, massive game now after 3 straight games without a goal and just one point taken.

De Gea, AWB, Varane, Martinez, Shaw, Fred, Sabitzer, Bruno, Rashford, Martial, Anthony.

    2-2

Need the win and I want revenge

We do well at home generally, but need to bounce back desperately and get back on track.

    De Gea
    Dalot Varane Martinez Shaw
    Sabitzer Fred Bruno
    Antony Martial Rashford

    Leave Weghorst at home.

    De Gea
    Dalot - Varane - Martinez - Shaw
    Sabitzer - Fred
    Antony - Bruno - Rashford

I swear if I see McTominay on the pitch again I will lose my mind.

Brentford will be sensing blood, we're a corpse without Case.

It feels like damage control now on current form. Newcastle weren`t great but could have scored 4-5 today with better finishing.

We need to figure out how to defend and be somewhat solid even without Case on the pitch. Not sure how but Erik needs to earn his wages now. Need to grind out something from this game to not fall apart completely.
If Weghorst is starting again i might have to watch from behind he sofa. He is so poor it is almost cringe.

Ah, not an ideal team to play. More points dropped

My first ever time going to OT. I fear it’s going to be memorable in a bad way.

The only saving grace is this is at home and Brentford conceded even more xG away at Brighton than we did today.

I think the wheels will come off if we lose here. Confident we should win though.

Hopefully can grind out the 3 points and if get a bit of luck along the way who cares. I don't expect many good team performance from United until the end of the season now as the hectic season has taken it's toll.

We just did not show up today. Bad performance from everyone. I always fear matches after international break

We need to respond and get 9pts. If we do I'm sure we'd be much happier.

ETH needs to start earning his salary and stop messing about with WW. Send him back to Turkey for all I care. He does more harm than good anyway. We can't control games of football with 10 men.

The problem here is we still won't have much control in the midfield since Casemiro is still out, so at the bare minimum you have to be dangerous in transitions. Bench the fecking tree and start Martial, or start Rashford up top with two wingers along side him and Bruno behind and lets get them in transition. If he starts WW again I'll seriously start to question his ability as a manager if I'm honest

Agree with you 100% on the first part. We need 9 points - they are games we should be winning. WW criticism is over the top. He's a limited player but has done well in some games for us, imo.

He's played in every game since joining and doesn't have a PL goal yet. He's awful.

The bar is so low for us these days. The guy is literally championship level, but there are fans still defending him. Yes he presses, yes he follows tactical orders and smiles a lot. That's it though. Is it asking too much to want a striker to be an attacking threat?

We still have no midfield. Eriksen and Casameiro cant come back soon enough. We have to find a way to win with the limited options we have, but its not easy. Personally I’d try shifting to a 4-4-2 with sabitzer, mctominay, fred, and bruno (as a #10) with toney and rashford up front. Something has to shift as we are getting over run in midfield. Shaw should also lose his spot.

    Our problem is attacking football.

It's zero at the moment. We don't create clear chances anymore, we scored last against Leicester, we've played 270 minutes of league football without a goal.

    At it, conceding 9 goals.

Since the Arsenal game, in the league we've been very very poor, result wise and performance wise.

It's that game that I had big question mark on the team,
How Arsenal dominated us in the last 30 minutes was incredible.

I said it here, alot of people said I was overreacting but true to it, we have not improved one bit.

Our defensive structure is Casemiro induced, our attack is Rashford alone. There is nothing in between. Incredible eeh.

He needs to create a team again, throwing players in the field expecting miracles won't work in England.

Weghorst what does he offer? By halftime today he had 7 touches.

    Alot of work ahead.

We might miss out on champions league, with how our finances are, that is suicide mission.

    4-0 Brentford.

We haven't won in our last 3 PL games. We only beat Fulham because they got 8 men sent off, the only team we've beat recently is a dog shit Real Betis.

We're in terrible form, we're missing key players and absolutely no one is fighting anymore.

Not looking forward to this the way we are playing. Expect an aerial bombardment.

He can never play the same team that started today. Hopefully AWB is well enough to play as Dalot was crap today. Also hope Martial can muster 90 mins as WW is just anonymous. Biggest problem is midfield without Casemiro and Eriksen. Think we need to load it with whatever we’ve got and go 4-3-3 or even 4-4-2. Right now I’m looking at this as a must not lose game - crazy to be saying that when we are fighting for top 4.

I'm not looking forward to this one in the slightest, our performances are so so so bad every game and I don't see any upturn in form happening until both Casemiro and Eriksen are back.

The couple of positives I can see for this game is Martial might get a decent amount of minutes which should see our attack improve compared to previous games. And Brentford results wise are not in amazing form, they've drawn their last 2, they've won 1 out of their last 4.

I've sort of privately defended Weghorst because of his effort and attitude but it's clearly not working.
Attack going forward for the rest of the season must be a rotation of Rashford, Martial, Antony, Pellestri and Garnacho when each guy is fit and available for selection.
Not at all confident for this match, Frank will have them right up for it.

I'd probably take a draw. A win looks impossible in our current state and another defeat would mean the wheels have well and truly fallen off.

The rest of this season is likely going to be a hard watch.

I understand your frustration with Manchester United's recent form, but it's important to maintain a positive attitude and continue supporting the team through their struggles. The team is capable of bouncing back and achieving success.
