Did you see that women with the glasses? "Oooh people booing" yeah there were love get your head out ya arse!

So was there some proper boos? I couldn't be bothered to turn it on due to my BP's reaction to seeing LvG for extended periods of time.

Clapping and applauding ?? Wtf? Where are these fans coming from?? Ffd we are fifth.

I think that's what happened with Arsenal.
When they finish 4th, they clap, cheer and celebrate for finishing 4th.
But our fans are applauding 5th place...so I guess AFC fans have higher expectations?

thought Louis was looking a little emotional there

I hate all this calling him a cnut etc...

Yeah he has only made us a laughing stock and broken every negative record in the book while spending 250 mill quid and constantly throwing our players under the bus. All the while doing this he has probably made about 15mill quid for himself.

Life is proper 'ard for this man, I agree. He defitnitely deserves our sympathy.

There were very audible boos and no real audible clapping. He said I want to say something, and he got everybody's attention and the boos stopped. Turned out it was just a ploy and he didn't announce he's leaving, but the moment already passed, and he got some petty (and very weak) clapping, and no more boos.

I disagree. Messi couldn't score 20 goals under this numpty.
Martial and Rashford who has just come into the team few months ago says otherwise.
The problem is the lack of creativity which could be attributed to our poor midfield consisting of ageing Rooney and Carrick, inconsistent sluggish Mata, limited Fellaini and the awful average Herrera. All of which are not Van gaal's signings.
His midfield signing has been Schweini and Schneiderlin but sadly one is a crock and the other is having a hard time settling into a DM role due to the fact that he was a box-box player at southampton.
Today's game is no different from the others. There's still the lack of creativity but atleast the midfield of Rooney, Mata and Carrick made a decent outing to ensure a win. Nothing is wrong with our attack but the midfield.

I was hoping Van Gaal would end his speech with the famous words "your job now is to stand by our new manager"

Says the guy who is dead serious about someone`s face because he conceded an bad defended goal with a bit of unluck, like its most important thing in team game.Geeez indeed
    Somebody's face?

By the way, it was the most important thing in today's game.

Whether Louis Van Gaal stays or leaves (and I would have him a million times over Mou), he has done some decent work at United, in an inevitable time of transition. He brought in some great new talent, he put one over on Real with DDG last year, and did a badly needed clearout after the car crash that was Moyes. Fifth ain't great, and I am disappointed we didnt get one over on City and get CL next year. Would have been delicious to have had Guardiola in the Europa League. The things that went wrong with the season are partly his fault, but not all his fault, the players have to take some flak too. But LVG has had an amazing impact on the history of football, he will never be forgotten, and deserves gratitude and of course respect. I would love to see this team win the FA Cup. Love to all.

Nice post mate, but we need to remember that LVG is the guy in charge of the team. It is his job to instill confidence in our players. I do not think he has done a good job in instilling confidence in any of our players.. in fact I think he has done the opposite in many cases, did you see Memphis coming on tonight? he looked like he was heading for the gallows.

Yeah, he sure set some awful records at arguably the biggest club in the world.

I honestly can't believe he did a speech and everyone just sat there clapping. I was hoping they'd at least storm the pitch and de-keg him

There's nothing he can do with a shite player.
Depay has shown nothing to prove he's better than Ryan Babel who looked a wordie in the same dutch league or Kuyt who recently had more than 20 goals in that same league.
All this stifling tactic talk is becoming boring already.

I'm just glad no one got injured. Didn't seem like we went higher than first gear (to be fair, we haven't done that all season) so I doubt they'll be tired for the final.
