Get your heads straight. We win both. That's the only way to prepare as a top club.

I don't think I've ever been this calm before a big game - other than going to extra time or the usual like injuries or a truly disastrous scoreline then I see positives in basically any outcome so feeling sanguine about the whole thing.

Now lets see how I feel at kick-off...

"It will run though, for Marcus Rashford and he will run at Barcelona. Steps past Busquets but not Araujo. Given straight to BRUNO! What about that? What about that?!"

Anyone else find themselves randomly humming 'this is the one' today? I have had some looks.

Am I nuts for feeling we can win this without our best eleven, with an eye towards Sunday?

We were poor in the final third last week and still made their back line look silly at times. Still shocked over how that defense has only given up 7 goals all season in Spain.

I think if we play like we did in the second half against Leicester we will win this.

Antony will start if fit I think but I'm not sure he is. Shaw will be left back.

I think Malacia is good but still not top level
I think Sancho has been doing good recently, don't think Antony should play ahead of him.

I also doubt Shaw will play be abuse its a lot of football in 8 days, and he's out key player. Malacia is half the player but I think it's possible he plays.

    Yeah, kinda.

But I'm also of the feeling that Sunday could be a tougher game.

Second leg in a European competition at home against weakened Barcelona. What could possibly go wrong?

It's funny that Scholes said this was a mishit, he sliced it and it's such a perfect finish

Some podcast said quite rightly that it’s more important to beat Barca than to progress to the next round. EL isn’t all that important this year.

Fearing a Lewa show tonight, though. Think Barca will shock a few.

I think the psychological boost would be massive.
I know they're depleted vital players but still it's Barca at home on a European night.

Hopefully we win and the momentum carries through to Sunday

Old Trafford will be absolutely buzzing can't wait.

Let show what this team is all about, have huge faith in ten Hag and his work.

I CANNOT wait for this game.

It's a game between probably the two most in form teams in the world currently. Old trafford is going to be rocking!

Play our best team and win it.

The boost from winning is better than a rest.

72 hours is enough for recovery, so 66 hours will be fine

Didn’t rashford and shaw both come off after 60 mins at the weekend ?

I’d be surprised if shaw didn’t start tbh then bring him off again tonight when we are 3 nil up:D

TBF i do think this is partially/mainly because it is the playoff round in the Europa League and not necessarily a big big game. It's more a symbolic big game because both clubs are on the up and should be in the CL and are playing CL level, but it does make it way more "fine whatever the outcome" because of the stage.

Feeling so excited for the match, then come here.

    "Rest the lot of them!"

We should also rest them on Sunday as we should prioritize the league, am I right? Liverpool's only 56 points behind us!

Wish I was as confident as some in here. I can’t imagine Barca will be as shit as they were last time out, absences or not. La Liga ain’t what it used to be, but they’re still a lot better than they showed last time out.

I’ll take a scrawpy smash and grab 1-0 with a deflection in the 94th minute if it means we go through.

Early lead would be great, I'm a bit apprehensive maybe because we have a cup final on Sunday.

I think there's guys now with what ETH has got out of them are probably more relaxed than us lot... come on lads

I think we could just about get away with that. If the gap was 55 points then definitely consider playing a reserve/youngster or two on Sunday.

Not really very confident we’ll go through tonight, but whoever wins must surely be clear favourites to go on and win the tournament.

Arsenal have to be considered too. Them and the winners of tonight must be favoured.

So funny how this forum flip flaps so much, I remember the beginning of the season 80% of members didn’t even want to be in the Europa League and we ‘should just play the kids’. Then we went through and drew Barcelona and again a lot of crying about a tough draw. Big up those of us who were ecstatic about this draw and this competition and felt we should push on and try and win this. What a fantastic tie this has been so far and hopefully we can end it with an emphatic win tonight and draw another giant in the next round!

Last week was a fantastic watch but this will top it. Statement win is coming boys

I'm giddy with excitement - I cannot wait for it

I don't care about the EL but I can't stand Barca
