Tottenham has nothing to do with it, it's losing against Norwich, Bournemouth, Sunderland and West Brom that has us in 5th place.
Even then you could say that if Smalling hadn't had that instant of madness against Newcastle we'd still be on track for a top 4 place.

Think it is more case of the draws away against Newcastle and Chelsea from winning positions. Those two results would have us equal with City. In the losses we played poorly, but those two games were a loss of concentration when the games were, or should have been won.

Glad we won. But god that was absolute dross, pains me that I think Villa deserved a draw they created so many chances near the end and were unlucky to hit the post. I actually thought we'd win this 3-0. Considering the opposition and the fact they have caretaker manager.
