Why oh why didn't we play like that for 20 minutes against Newcastle, Sunderland, Norwich and Bournemouth?

What a game. Brilliant to watch, edge of the seat stuff. Arsenal could have snatched it from us, they got a goal back quickly both times but didnt have the cutting edge to put us to the sword.

    The young players were brilliant.

Rashford was incredible. Varela, with one or two wobbles, had a great game. Fosu-Mensah made one mistake but looked terrific.

I'd take a point now in all honesty. Shows the distinct lack of faith I have in my club doesn't it.

    Come on United!!

I had to quote you mate, I felt the same but when we got to the last 15 minutes I would have been annoyed if we'd not got all 3, one of the most exciting performances from us I've seen in my 30 years as a fan! :D

Fosu-Mensah looks a strong player, and only 18! He'll be a beast in a few years. Good decade before we see him at his peak, madness

    Absolutely. Shame on me!

Never been happier to be proved wrong. So proud of our youngsters today I haven't felt like this about our youth products for decades.

Looking at the possession stats just goes to prove how we play better when we attack at pace and on the counter rather than passing from side to side. F this possession stuff off and lets play more like we did today from now on

I really feel as ecstatic after this as I did after that 2/0 win that ended their unbeaten run. Am I the only one?

The thing is, I'm now doubting whether we really want to buy a striker and defender this summer. Rashford and Fosu-Mensah look the real deal.

Buzzing off that result. Delighted for Rashford and I'm also happy to see Varela playing well; he's so full of energy and overcame a shakey start.

If anything was gonna cost us today, it was that we did not keep possession well the same as against Chelsea at the Bridge. There needs to be balance between knowing how to keep possession when needed and going for it with pace when needed. It's not a coincidence that the leaders in Spain, Germany and France are all the highest possession sides as well.

Best game of the season? If only we could play like that from the start of the season...

And Arse finish their season in a week. Again. After the annual exit from the cl 16 kick-starts their annual beginning of the end.

So much composure for such a young, inexperienced set of players, they didn't panic and outworked Arsenal. The most satisfying match since Fergie retired, and what is great is it felt tangible and not a fluke.

Varela was very Rafael-esque with that dare I say fearless attitude? Just kept on playing his game regardless.

why do people keeping quoting Morgan?

He isn't even an Arsenal fan. He just says things for attention,

Yeah, obviously there needs to be balance, but we have generally done naff all this season when we have bossed possession, so games like this are a breath of fresh air.

Although Rashford was MOTM Varela had a fantastic game, if he continues like that I'd have Darmian as the back up to him.

All in all though what a brilliant win that's what united are all about, excitement, pacey attacking, drama and goals. Class match.
