Young and Mata have been really good and our midfield is doing a good job so far. Falcao has been ok, Rojo looks rusty and Jones is being Jones.
He makes Robbie Mustoe seem like oh I don't know. But he makes him look good.I don't know if Falcao has been terrible for us this season, or it is us who have been terrible for Falcao. He doesn't do enough to help himself, though. When he's in a footrace for a ball played ahead of him into the box, he doesn't show any strength against the defender, it's almost like he shies away from it. That's an element of the PL that he needs to get used to if he has any hope of a good career here.
There all also times when he has his back to goal and just dribbles in position and does nothing with it. He should try to turn towards goal and slip past the player defending him. I'm not sure what he's looking to do.
Maybe you are just wearing blinkers and because he is not what you want he can't do anything right.
His movement is good, because he is taking defenders away there is room for Mata.
Sure he has slipped a lot and been pushed off the ball, but no more than anyone else.
