But they should probably not flag at all if it's going to be a goalscoring opportunity. Players stopped playing as a result, but that's on us. Poor discipline.

I suppose so. Having said that, when was the last time a ref didn’t follow an offside flag (before VAR).

imo VAR should just decide offside from now on. Linesman are pointless and are just going to cause confusion from this point on.
