Forget the comment about him scoring today, Lingard needs hooking at half-time for me.

Mata would be my choice of sub. Then bring Rashford AND Martial on for the final 20mins, take off Sanchez and Lukaku. Never gonna happen though, more likely to be Fellaini for Pogba.

What a crap performance. Zero movement, constantly playing one yard one two's fifty yards from goal, no urgency, no pace.

Lingard has been woeful, his passing in the final third has been cabbage.

We're one nil up and not giving them a hint of a chance … we'll take ours when it comes. Get used to it, this will be the format for years to come!

I miss enjoying watching us play. I don't look forward to games anymore. Winning is important - but ultimately I watch football to be entertained and this team doesn't entertain. :(

Dreadful half of football. We seem to be passing it back at every opportunity. We're lucky to be winning to be honest.

A top class right back could really transform our team. So many times when Valencia has the ball in acres of space and does nothing with it.

Can’t ever recall seeing a more poorer side at crossing the ball than Utd, 99.9% of time it’s hits the first defender standing 15 yards away!

Not a great half but we are winning and given the position of both teams it’s not unsurprising.

Valencia would be a fantastic player if he had even a halfway competent cross on him. Unfortunately, he's shockingly poor at it, especially for a player who started out as a winger. If we don't replace him for next season, we'll continue to struggle on the right.

Well you can't moan about Pogba not in a 3 or about our score against a big team but you guys always pull through and find something

Not a great game. We look like we can barely be arsed, Arsenal probably deserve to be level.

Lingard has been really poor. Lukaku is the best crosser at the club, which is not an ideal scenario.

    Hopefully we improve second half.

Our right side is quite shocking. No creativity whatsoever. Valencia from time to time is found in space but you just know it will come to nothing.
We have a right side? ;)

There's always acres of space on the right whenever we get the ball to Valencia but he somehow usually manages to do nothing with it.

Shit half tbh. This is a trash Arsenal side and exactly the situation that a Sir Alex side would take full advantage of like we did 7 years ago. And we don't even look the better side really. Way too casual from everyone, giving the ball away constantly, players trying too many flicks, and nowhere near enough players going forward and making runs. Blatantly a game that needs width in our attack and some quality. Put Martial or Rashford on here for Lingard, maybe even go 4-2-3-1 and put the other on as well so we have them both and we'll be much better off IMO. Potential for a big win is there, but we aren't creating anything.

I wish we had wingers, can’t see why Lingard gets the preference above Rashford and Martial. Still don’t know why Sanchez has to play on the left he is never there, same goes for Lingard on the right.

Tearing my hair out at what I just watched. Lingard is driving me mad. Everything is so slow.

I don't actually thick we're playing bad but we lack quality in many areas, mainly where Lingard, Young and Valencia are playing. All three of them need an upgrade.

So should Xhaka been sent off for that handball? I mean according to the rules he stopped a counter with his hand while on a yellow, no brainer that.

Lack of professionalism from United in that first half. They’re playing at half pace. This Arsenal team is completely there for the taking.

The only thing more abject than our performance so far is that Find and Fund my car advert. It makes me want to break something.

Martial and to a lesser extent Rashford are the only players in the squad that can beat a man and add some excitement around the box. It's all pretty dull otherwise.

So should Xhaka been sent off for that handball? I mean according to the rules he stopped a counter with his hand while on a yellow, no brainer that.

He should've received a booking earlier on in the game as well after he stamped on Sanchez.

I'm sure it's not backed up by any kind of statistical analysis but our crossing is the worst in the league.

2 new full backs in the summer seen essential. Valencia and Young are both so wasteful.

That season when Rooney scored all those headers from Valencia, was all that down to Rooney’s movement? I find it hard to believe someone that used to be an effective crosser would be so abysmal at it now.

Valencia's balls in are unbelievably bad. I'd like to see us use the left more.

Unless you haven't been watching the game it doesn't indicate in singularity that United have been defensive.
Well going by the posts in this thread you’re in the minority man, we happy to do the backwards and sideways slow shit all game as long as it gives us 3 points.

We need to be more direct. One time we were gave us the goal
