The tackle itself is fair enough once he's got himself in that position, but why does he step up in the first place to put himself in that position to end up in a potential footrace? That's my biggest problem with Maguire. He's a defender without any sort of agility on the turn or recovery pace who at least three times per game steps out of defence, ruins the entire defensive shape, and then gets turned and just jogs back (because he's never getting there in time anyway) as the rest of the team busts a gut to try to defend.
