Out of our four defenders, Maguire was the least culpable for their first. AWB got beaten too easily and Lindelof got dragged out wide for no reason. Maguire did the right thing (albeit slowly) in shifting across to fill the gap (and pick up the man) Lindelof had left at the near post, but Telles didn't follow suit and the ball went into the area Telles should have been covering. The second one is a mess all around and Maguire's lack of agility means he can't get his feet sorted to clear it after the first shot, but Lindelof was the most at fault. He committed himself to gift Foden the first attempt on goal and then stands watching for the rebounds.
He even looked up before he done it. 2 mistakes, someone should be making a run in there, but when they aren't, why play it across there
