He isn't wrong though is he? We were a sterling away from another 5-0 thrashing at half time lets be honest.

That isn't the true United and we need to stop that happening.
Highly unlikely, given that Utd haven't conceded more than 2 goals in a game since Oct 2016.

Jesus. Best comeback in years and there’s people on here emphasising the negatives.
    Revel in the glory ffs!
You can have your analysis once we’ve all calmed down.

What?! did you actually watch the match? they should have easily scored 4 no problem that first half, Sterling bottled it.

Well the one in 2012 was hardly likely was it mate?

They created far too many clear cut chances. Thankfully they wasted them and we published them. Heavily. Which was clinical United.

At half-time I was just hoping it wouldn't end up a total humiliation, but credit the players for turning that around, City couldn't handle it when United went in front and although it's just a bloody nose for them in terms of the big picture, hopefully that will be a sign of things to come. Pogba took his goals superbly and Smalling also finished well to atone for losing Kompany at their first.
Bit lucky with the two penalty claims but, hey, how many United fans honestly thought even a draw was possible at half-time, never mind a spectacular comeback win.
At the very least, the players showed some cojones to win today.

@Sassy Colin @Ramshock @Rado_N it has got to point where I CBA for a long thread describing what is wrong with our approach to the game these days. Decent lineup but the way they're being coached is the real issue here. Blaming individual is all well and good but City don't have an awesome lineup out there but just look far better coached.

    Okay!

It's amazing mate. It's as if you can't enjoy a mental second half come back and essentially be conscious of the reality of what played out.

We got away with it, big time, then nailed them. It's not as if it hasn't happened to us tbf!

The reality is we were shite first half. The manager addressed it at halftime and we won the game.

But yeah, let's still concentrate on the shit part.

I have no idea how fans can sit there after that first half and think this is great.

It makes it even more baffling that we did recover, because we clearly have the ability, it must be a mental issue. The pressure was off at 2-0 down and it couldn't have got any worse, so we suddenly put on our big boy pants and played properly.

Maybe Jose needs to tell them they're 2-0 down every game

Do you know how football works? Seriously do you? You realize there are two teams and two managers and things can and do go wrong right?

Of course. That much is obvious mate. I'm fairly accustomed to how football works, thanks for the concern.

    Do you? Just checking

The issue is, for me essentially, is this happens a bit too often in big games for my liking, both home and away.

The point I was making was obvious. We got away with it first half. Not because we were clever, or grafted or threw in great latch ditch tackles. It turned out Sterling couldn't take his chances. Do you honestly think if we turn up at Wembley and play like that first half we will get that lucky? Should we expect more from this team? Is this an isolated case? Of course not.

We can't keep doing that and expect to progress.

    It's not hard really.

 to be fair I've got no issue with opposing points of view. It's all healthy. Talk to 100 people about the same 90 minutes, you'll get all sorts of responses.

Beauty of the game mate. But for a few little internet warriors or condescending bellends of course ;)

It could have got much, much worse.

The players and the manager were brave to go for it in the 2nd half. Yes, we didn't have much of a choice, but it could have easily backfired and resulted in a 6-0 defeat which really would have gone down in history, not to mention it coinciding with a title victory for our biggest rivals.

Well yeah, I meant in the fact that we were already losing and city were winning the league against us as it was. But yeah the score could have got legendary. Thank god it all changed.

Cancelling their party was fantastic. Sky have yapped on all week about City winning the title v United, I bet they didn’t even think about the chance of United beating them. Bellamy was extra smug before the game and even had a few jibes at Pogba too.

Kompany said this was a once in a lifetime opportunity - well not this lifetime, fat head.

Member for a while but don't usually post, but had to come back on today after that!

Form goes out of the window on days like today. Everything told me City were going to win and United would just park the bus. Well that was a terrible prediction luckily!

It's annoying we've not seen 'that 2nd half' United alot this season but I'll take todays showing and result all day long! Thought Young Pog and Herrera were particularly good, and we must do everything to keep DDG!

There is a reason I posted though - I was offered a job at City as I am moving to Cheshire and I turned it down (monetary reasons), but I should have been there today to meet the management team and 'get the buzz' of a matchday. Probably would have been able to watch the game.....very very annoyed I didn't take it now, just to have been there to see that!

Have a good Saturday night you lot!

    Peace!

I'm rewatching the second half and although I'm enjoying what I'm seeing, what I'm hearing is pissing me off. We've just scored our first and according to Neville it's come 'from nowhere', despite the fact that barring one quick chance for Gundogan we've been attacking right from the restart (Pogba shot on target, four or five balls into their box, Sanchez putting Lukaku in) and City have barely had a touch.

I'd like the commentators to describe what's actually happening at any given moment on the pitch, not constantly look to work everything into whatever narrative they've decided on for the game.

Craig fecking Bellamy. The man whose biggest achievement was scoring a last minute equaliser at Old Trafford...

Only to see it mean feck all.

feck off ya Micky Mouse gobshite

 exactly. They had him in the studio for the sole purpose of annoying United fans. Except City got beat and he had to bury his little head.

    Enjoy the Jameson’s lad - good choice:D

Man I love when United gets us all giddy and excited like this.

Do you remember a man called Alex Ferguson?

I like this. Rashford has to start.. his treatment since the Liverpool game has been both bizarre and downright wrong. We haven't anything to lose, and City will be hurting like feck after last night. What better way for them to respond to the (few) critics that have said a few little things since last night.

Makes for an absolute belter of a match though. And I have a feeling we will win.

I know it's yesterday's news, and I do (personally) think we were lucky to be in the game at all after the first half... but nonetheless, I'm glad my instincts were right.

We deserved it in the end. Somehow.

We are trashing them today. You read it here first.

This is the time when Jose must show he would love to grab Pep's balls and throw them off the balcony.

City are in a position they have not been in a long time - now they are out of FA Cup , probably of CL and the title would not be that big of a triumph for them as it has been obvious from a few months it will be theirs .

We need to give them a lesson and put them in the corner so they don't have the courage to go for it in the CL second leg .

To make the long story short - Jose , fcking show that you still got it or I will be advertising in the whole online social world that I hate you

    So..anyone to say anything
