If no one is injured from today's game, my expected line-up would be

    De Gea
    Valencia Bailly Blind Young
    Fellaini
    Herrera Pogba
    Mkhi Rashford Martial

    DDG
    Valencia-Bailly-Blind-Shaw
    Fellaini
    Herrera-Pogba
    Mkhitaryan-Rashford-Martial

Is what I would want, but to be honest Mourinho knows best and it will be nothing like that.

Now that's more than a crucial game and I'm still strangely confident about it.

We need a 3 midfielder in this one to contain their midfield.

    De Gea
    Valencia - Bailly - Blind - Young/Darmian
    Herrera
    Fellaini - Pogba
    Lingard - Rashford - Mikhi

Any news on Pogba yet? Gutted he might have picked up a knock just when he's coming back into form.

Holy crap. This game. This is the game.

    I'm nervous

    De Gea
    Valencia - Bailly - Blind - Shaw
    Herrera - Fellaini - Pogba
    Lingard - Martial - Rashford

Will this be a game to far? I wouldn't be surprised. Think pogba will be rested. Let's go with a midfield 3 of herrera, felliani and Carrick and front 3 of miki, martial and Rashford. A draw wouldn't be a bad result but let's go for the win. Thier defence is definitely vunerable but we need to keep close to aguero. He's by far thier greatest threat.

Don't see it that way, City have come off a gruelling game themselves, and Silva and Aguero came off with knocks today.
We can bring in Valencia, Miki and Rashford who played a total of about 40 mins today between them.

No way Pogba gets rested, he's one of Mourinho's untouchables if fit.

We have Swansea at home next Sunday to ruck about with the lineup

    DDG

    Valencia-Bailly-Blind-Darmian

    Herrera-Carrick-Pogba

    Lingard-Rashford-Mickey

If he wants to play it a bit risky. If he goes for the more conservative approach then maybe Fellaini for Mickey.

Extra time for them today obviously good from United's point of view. Liverpool losing puts top 4 back within reach. Looks like being a huge night on Thursday, a draw looks likely but hopefully Rashford can put them to the sword again, same as last season.

No question, an absolute must win. Win this and we put ourselves in the driver's seat for top four. GD cut to only 2 with Pool now. Hopefully Pogba is fit.

I'm worried about that Swansea game much more than City's one. You know, Old Trafford and all these stuff, sigh.

Lets worry about City first, and then see how things sit.
Liverpool have given us a tiny bit of breathing space now thank goodness.

Form goes out the window, hopefully Pogba and Bailley are fit. Hopefully Mou get the tactics right.

True, ironic that at the end our chance for getting of getting top 4 is absolutely in our hands now and we don't need to wait for other results. Win our games and we'll finish 4th or even 3rd.

We should grasp it by our hands.

Wouldn't be surprised to see something like:
    De Gea
    Bailly Blind Darmian
    Valencia Herrera Fellaini Pogba Young
    Martial Rashford
Carrick in for Pogba if he's injured, Miki maybe in for one of the front 2 (martial obviously). Or Lingard for him. But away to City, can easily see a formation change. Will be a tough game but if we manage to win somehow then it would be huge.

Nice timing of the Swansea game next Sunday I see, United play on Thursday after everyone else plays Tuesday/Wednesday then get the mid day KO on Sunday in the first of three games on TV. Ludicrous.

Thanks to Liverpool a draw will actually be a decent result for us, but ofc a win would be much better as that takes ourselves above City AND gives us some leeway for the other games.

    Because City has looked great?

3W-3D-3L in their last 9 matches...

Form goes out of the window in derbies... They will be up for it after the loss...

Also I feel Jose will go for a draw and could backfire.

I'm glad we're getting all the usual negativity. We usually get a result afterwards!

    Keep it up guys!

If we didn't have the defensive injuries I would actually be pretty confident but I think we'll lose. I'd take a draw.

Did Jesus make the bench for them today? Worried if fit he may surprise us

Same team as we put out vs Chelsea, minus Rojo obviously. After our last few results I'm a bit more confident about this.
