That's Fellaini in the deep MF in a 4-2-3-1, this is potentially awful.

Pace up front, but getting it there for long enough...

If we're under pressure, we can always long ball Fellaini and he can knock it down for the kids to zip and dribble. I actually like that he's in the side, though he'll look slow and cumbersome in positional play, it's very practical having him there for an easy out and set pieces.

In playing style? I don't know really, maybe Milner, Park, bit of Lingard even. He's not the most gifted player but he is decent technically and is an absolute workhorse. He has a real knack for popping up in the right areas at the right times as well, boasting a pretty impressive goals/assists record this season for the u21s.

Choosing between Fellaini and Carrick on current form is like choosing between rock and a hard place. Although i would not want Fellaini starting, i would start him over Carrick who has been piss poor.

Still the team does not give out any confidence. I am pessimestic but hopeful if that makes sense.
