Shaw available? People were saying he was out for 5 weeks.

I know we had some big issues going to a big game before ...
I remember Rashford's first season.. where we played Arsenal with all our forwards missing .. the Uruguyan right back starting .. and somehow we won ..
But this time we know for sure this is not going to happen..it will be another thrashing

    So?

    Onana

    AWB
    Lindelof
    Varane
    Shaw

    Amrabat
    Mainoo
    McTominay

    Antony
    Rashford
    Hojlund

Guess the only question here is Shaw/Dalot and Rashford/Garnacho. Not sure what other options we have in midfield.

Could really have done with Mount avaialable. As shite as Bruno has been, he does create pretty much all our chances. Regardless, we are fecked. I’m gonna bet on us not even having a shot on target and to get beat by 3 or more goals.

Maguire and Martial both out injured but Shaw should be available

So that will be Shaw's 4th game in what? 10 days? A Ten Hag wonders why his players are getting injured at the rate they are. He pushed for Regulion at the end of the window then plays him for 20 minutes in Europe every now and again.

Only chance is a pen for a very dubious foul/handball.

And if that's the only goal, coming in the 96th minute.

Any earlier would be too early. Liverpool've had too many comebacks and we've given up too many leads this season.

This is a very strange game for Liverpool. They are going into this game as clear favourites and expected to put 5 or 6 past us. Usually any sort of win in these games is all the team wants. Hopefully this May back fire on them. I know it's wishful thinking, but hope is all we have !

Something which was a concern last season with such a tight fixture and the winter international tournament. It's very likely that the lack of rotation last season has hampered the squad physically.

They can score as few or as many as they want. They can win this 1:0. They can win this 10:0. We have very little say in how this one goes, so formation and lineup doesn’t really matter. And I think they are going to score, and score, and score. The scorelines have only been increasing in the last couple of years. We are just a genuine nothing club.

Liverpool win 8:0. Should be Erik ten Hag’s last 100 minutes in charge as well.

Reguilón was an emergency loan. If Shaw is fit, especially for a game like this, you have to play him simply because he is better and you're playing against the almost-unplayable Mo Salah.

It's the hope that kills. It'a better to have zero expectation going into this game. It's not just about them. This "us" doesn't have ability to pull anything away from home to a decent team, let alone Liverpool at Anfield.

Really feels like this will be a true hiding. I'm sure they won't say it out loud, but I reckon many of their players will be wondering if they can beat their tally from last time. Looking at our calamity defence, complete lack of threat, and comedy goalie, I can't see why they wouldn't have it in them!

I'm going to guess 4, maybe 5-0 but an 8 would be within the realms of possibility for sure. Many of our lads will have waved the white flag before half time, and some before kick-off.

Last straw for ETH if we get thrashed again.
He is probably looking at damage limitation to keep his job.

Looking for a smash'n'grab here... sit tight and clear all day long, hope for a Rashford counter or a goal from a corner.

    Onana
    AWB - Evans - Varane - Reguilon
    Mainoo - Amrabat
    Antony - McTominay - Garnacho
    Rashford
    United win, 1-0.

Oh, who am I fooling? 9-0 Pool and ETH doesn't see the door.

I can't ever remember a team going to Anfield and scores getting predicted 5 or 6-0. Even the worst teams in the PL still had a bit of faith. It's fecking embarrassing how Utd can be in the position. Even if a championship team were playing them on Sunday, you wouldn't get many score line predictions like this. What the feck is happening ?????

Because unlike other teams, our manager is stubborn on suicidal tactic that saw Copenhagen, Galatasaray (twice), Bournemouth scoring 3+ past us. Lucky not concede a bunch against Wolves, Everton. Sheffield United, even a poor Chelsea on the day still created chances that arguably would get them point on another day.

Liverpool is not jammy and clinical. They love to give us a proper thrashing scoreline.

We don't even know how to draw game this season (only one draw). It's unthinkable to be able to win at Anfield now where everything is going against us. Not even a solid defensive unit to rely on, or being good at counter attacking. Even fecking ref is Michael Oliver.

I thought my 7-0 prediction was bad but the 2nd most predicted result here is 9-0....

No striker just Try to win the battle in midfield and look semi respectful with keeping possession and maybe nick something with a free kick or corner instead of sitting deep and conceding possession the whole game

Because this United team fold like you wouldn’t believe. It doesn’t hurt them enough when they get these spankings hence why it happens over and over again. Players like Dalot, Lindelof, Rashford in particular I feel seem to be always present during these hammerings.
Liverpool have actually beaten us 4-0, 5-0 and 7-0 in our last four meetings. It’s amazing but a smashing is more likely than a close score line. You’re right how the feck is that happening?

Save the meltdown until the hiding actually happens, not the score predictions

This is going to be one of those occasions where because everyone is expecting 7-0, when it's actually 3-1 or something then it'll be treated as a great result for United, and disappointing for Liverpool.

Sky doing the whole “no United player would get into the Liverpool side” yet we finished comfortably above them last year and 2 years before that.

Yet, during a 25 year period where they finished above us only once we couldn’t stop hearing about how the Liverpool players were better than ours. Gerrard over Scholes etc. I remember in 99 that prick Irish commentator saying Owen would be our best player.

The fact that we have been allowed to fall to this stage is simply scandalous.
How the hierarchy and players can even try to put a positive spin on this facade is embarrassing. Bring back Ralf Rangnick to oversee a proper rebuild.
