We’re not even pretending that we have any ambition to attack. Just waiting for Liverpool to score and hoping to get away without a drubbing.

The constant moaning about the ref make this thread borderline unreadable. Get a grip, it's never a red in any situation.

A high boot to the head is never a red in any situation?

Constant moaning is the heartbeat of all matchday threads if you can't handle it that's your problem

To be fair, we've kept Liverpool at bay most of the half. We haven't looked like scoring ourselves but this hasn't been our worst performance.

It's time for EtH to give a rousing speech at half-time. We'll come out and utterly batter these thundercnuts. McTominay to get two quick goals to silence the haters, and Amrabat to tuck the ball away neatly with his magnificently shiny head.

Antony to spin so fast that he turns back time like Superman did.

These stats are harsh against McT in isolation. Amrabat has completed 8 passes and lost possession 9 times. Mainoo has completed 8 passes and lost possession 3 times.

McT has also had more touches than both.
Manioo is 18 years of age and Amarbat has only been at the club a couple of months. Scott is the captain, been here for years and still shits the bed.

I know we don't create or pass to him but hojlund really should be scoring goals.

Is that us or is that more how diabolical Slobberzai and Salah have been with the final third pass? We’ve been just as open as always, Liverpool just haven’t shown up

I've just come in and 0-0 half time seems fine.. I've just checked out the Stats which I hate doing and it's a one-sided half by looks of it.. would anyone take a 0-0 at full time... ?

The good news is Liverpool have been average. Okay till around the box and then poor.

The bad news is they've still been all over us. We're poor with a couple of players having some good moments. Shaw has done well with Salah on our left and Mainoo has had some nice pieces of play in the middle and won the ball a few times. Thats about it.

Surely Liverpool come out with a lot more threat in the 2nd half. Also Mctom looks absolutely lost at this level breaking forward with the ball in attacks. Awful

Scoreline about as good as anyone could hope.
Both centre mids on bookings is worrying with next to nothing on the bench to replace either.
Amrabat seems to be on a masterclass of how not to do anything right.

    Conceding tonnes of corners.

Could it be one of those weird games where we offer nothing but pinch a winner?
Amrabat is danger for us. In that position he is to slow. Both with or without ball. Mainoo, he and McTominay have still done ok and closed down central area.

We really need to offer a bit more going forward because I don't see us holding out for the second half. It's gone better than expected so far though.

Rashford for Garnacho is the only change I'd make.

Considering most would have been happy if we didn't get pumped, yeah, a draw would be a great result.

We paid £72m for Hojlund? Will he ever come good? Serious question.

Contact Caf. Most you thought it would be at least 0-4 by now. I'll take this all day long.

Not the hammering everyone expected…so far

but Liverpool have been poor and Klopp will go in on them at HT

So wasteful in possession, even when we have a chance to play out

McT has been awful. And Amrabat is just as bad…he’s so slow. Liverpool did well to target him in possession

can’t really expect too much from Antony, Garnacho and Hojlund when the midfield can’t get anywhere close to them.

Dalot, Antony, Amrabat and McTominay they can't pass a football
