    Layman's question.

Can today's sport science predict how well-recovered a player is ahead of a big game?

In other words do coaches know, based on some tests, how much a player has in his tank before a game?

Where was Vardy in the last 10 games they've failed to beat us. You guys love overrating opposing players while pretending they'll run ring around our defense when that never happens.

You mean Vardy who has comfortably outscored any of our players for seasons on end and who has one of the best records against top teams?

    That overrated Vardy?

He is not reliable. Lacks positional discipline which can be costly especially in such a crucial match

It's a mad idea dropping Pogba in a game of this magnitude. If we're going to try and get something from this game, we're going to need all of our best players playing. I'm all for bringing Fred on in the second half if we've got a lead to hang onto or if players are showing fatigue. Ole would be crucified if he didn't play Pogba in this game.

He's made a couple of crucial errors, granted but to say he lacks positional discipline is stretching it. Look at the pass he made for Rashford's goal last year. You don't honestly think Fred for all his endeavour, can do that do you?

He does need to be concentrating fully

I am a nervous wreck glad I am not playing but our attack should be capable of putting three past that defense. If our front four is on it we win the game simple as but if we gift them a silly goal then it could be a difficult way back.

The first goal will be crucial but we just have to remember that we turned them over when we were at our weakest and them in form. I am sort of glad that Ole has kept the best side even though I have worries about fatigue coming into play after the hour mark.

Haven't felt this nervous about a football game in so long.

This is it. Now or never

    He did score against us.

He is a top striker and whatever anyone else says on here, our coaches won't be fooled by Leicester's form. Like us , it's one big game for all. Vardy could win it but so could one of 5 players for us. Let's not be reductive about him while being reductive about our players

Shouldn’t be nervous if we can’t finish top 4 from this position what’s the point of taking on Bayern, Madrid etc.
Agree with this, if we lose top four from this position then it means we lose it because we couldn't beat Southampton, West Ham and Leicester. A team like that has no business playing in the CL just to make numbers.

Minus Luke Shaw, this is our best team by some distance. Surely it will be too much for an injury-stricken Leicester side who have been on a downward spiral since the turn of the year.

If this was any other game, we'd be expecting a comfortable win.

We better change our tactical set up on our left side as we have seen when Shaw has had to face 1v2 in many occasions.

It's important that Rashford helps Williams out with the defensive work today.

I want to appeal to the mods to please have mercy on those who might go overboard today, this is truly nerve wrecking.

Very nervous, but I think we'll do enough. We don't seem to lose at the moment, so that's positive. I just hope Wolves smash Chelsea so it doesn't even matter.

Big game needed from pogba and I back him to do so.

But remember they are without Maddison, Pereira and one of the PL top rated CBs. It's not easy coping without 1 top class player but 3...

Reading some in this thread make me think we're about to face prim Barcelona

Common it's just 36 yo Morgan, let's smash them

Weve all witnessed the drop off in energy and intensity with Utd last few games, uts therefore paramount we start quick and lut Leic under pressure. It will say a lot about Ole's management if despite his insistence that its what we plan to do, but start as we have done recently. Lets see then...

The last few games will have sapped our confidence away, and I don’t think we have a particularly tough or resilient set of players. Getting a result here is certainly going to be a big test for Ole.

He is a phenomenal player who, unfortunately, any time he makes a mistake, is criticised by certain sections of the media and sometimes fans. People like Souness expect him to be a combination of Roy Keane and Paul Scholes and be "on it" at every single second and every moment which is just ridiculous. He is capable of producing moments of magic, just like Bruno, so he needs to play. If Pogba plays well, this will be an easy win.

Morgan's looked ok since he's came back into the team, I certainly expect him to outmuscle Martial

    Ole’s first real test!

Would of preferred this game at Old Trafford but let’s see how the lads start the game.

Just had a fecking power cut! Can't tell you how pissed I was and crapping myself at the same time. Just had power restored, thank feck. Was just getting ready to go somewhere with wifi when the power came back on.

    Now I'm even more stressed!

I'm nervous and know we are all stating the things they could do to hurt us, but I'm sure their fans are just as scared. With our attacking options we should be able to go at that back line. They will likely stuff the box so we will need some creativity and movement.

    Come on boys!!

On a day like today form can go out the window. It is a winner takes all and Leceister will be up for this.
