The level of gloom in this place. We drew a game now everyone defaults to form. The damage done to our club supporters is truly mind numbing, Jose has reduced our mentality to that of a small club.

Be fecking positive, let's go into this matchday with a win-all mindset. This is now a safe space, it's ok to dream about winning, you will not be ridiculed if we don't win, but can we not feel defeated before a ball is kicked.

    Well said.

This is the first game under OGS that I'm not looking forward to.

Originates from the Burnley game where his selection decisions hamstrung the team. Hope he has learnt that under no circumstances should Mata play on the right. To a lesser extent, I hope he realises that Rashford is the central striker and Lukaku is the bench/ rotation option.

Hoping that the team sheet at 1 o'clock will put my mind at rest.

Also, I don't think any new academy players will feature today after being in the u23s. Usually something to look forward to, but OGS does not appear interested in using them after their inclusion on the Dubai winter camp. I don't mind losing, but in those circumstances, I want to see youth get a chance rather than Deadwood FC stink the place up

    Mata shouldn't play at all.

This will the match where Ole will get his first loss and finally be exposed.

Our right side is way too weak. Lingard's so bad at supporting our defensively poor right backs that Leceister will have a field day there. If Albrighton starts on the left, we are doomed. His crosses from that area will all go to the far post and target Jones' poor positioning. Matic will be in big trouble; he'll be too slow in covering the ground, and Herrera will constantly have to cover for him, leaving our right side even weaker. Pogba will be exposed, defensively, as the left winger will keep entering the space in between he and Matic time and time again, leaving us exposed to Maddison's creativity and Vardy's quick movement.

We can open them up and score goals, but we lack the quality on the right side to really hurt them. Lingard and Young and just poor going forward, yet we are so defensively weak there that we can't just field Dalot and anyone else together. Our best bet is to play Bailly at right back and Dalot ahead of him (like how Puel plays Pereira ahead of a more defensive right back), but that won't ever happen under Ole.

I'll call out the result as well: 3-2 to Leceister and papers (plus the Caf) questioning Ole's credibility as the United manager.
Is it fair to say we will...

    Get exposed...?

Seems like you cant wait for Ole to be exposed.

And playing Bailly as a RB, thank God Ole wont ever do it.
He should look up how Puel does it?

So, we drew a game where we attacked them all game and could have won if we didn't pi** about with our chances. Now due to that we're getting "Honeymoon period" posts.:lol::lol:

If we somehow managed to beat every team in the 10 games then lose or draw a match, I'm sure there will be similar posts. Seems this honeymoon period gets extended every week.

Honestly, after the Arsenal game I did think this was our most likely game to drop points in. However, now that Burnely already stopped our winning run I'd hope to see a reaction. I fancy us to win this now, but I do think Leicester will score. Any win will do as I expect us to see off Fulham much more comfortably and be in 4th place after that match.

Today is just a case of playing our current best XI and getting the job done:

    de Gea
    Young Lindelof Jones Shaw
    Herrera Matic Pogba
    Lingard Rashford Martial
    ---
Romero; Dalot, Bailly/Smalling; Fred, Mata; Sanchez, Lukaku

    1-2 or 1-3.

This was the result that killed our title challenge last season. Lukaku set up multiple sitters that were missed. Get revenge, we'll create enough to win, all that matters is the finishing.

This match feels more important than it might be, as if it were to determine the whole season. It probably doesn't do so even if the media and many fans will react that way. It's a little nervous, or rather very nervous, but we should be able to beat them.

I'm pretty confident well win this convincingly.

I can understand some of the concerns about Ole making mistakes we've all seen before but people need to remember it wasn't Ole making them previously, one selection he's got wrong let's not treat it as a trend just yet.

Tough game today, because we need both a result and a performance. Normally you’d be happy with a scrappy win away to a team like Leicester, but with the tricky run of fixtures we have coming up we need to be continuing the good form we’ve showed under Ole or it’ll be a tough old month.

Leicester at home. They'll attack us, leaving space for Martial, Pogba and Rashford to do damage. Their fullbacks will bomb forward, which will be their undoing.

    1-4 to Ole's team.

To the honeymooner’s – how many honeymoon periods does Ole actually have? After 9 games I would say his ’honeymoon’ period is well and truly over. Ole has done well and the team is playing good/very good football under him. Give yourselves a bit of positivity. I agree Leicester will be a tough game but I certainly don’t have this feeling of doom hanging over me. I believe we can win this but even if we don’t, I also believe Leicester will have to play really, really well to get a win against us, Honeymoon period over – dear goodness!!! I call a tough game with us getting the win 1-2. Obviously hoping for a bigger win but winning by the odd goal will do me just fine.

Comfortable win. Likes of Vardy will do nothing today.

well its easy, honeymoon is over when we lose...

Think this will come down to midfield. They could work a lot harder than us. If they've got that Portuguese wing back playing at RB that would be the area to exploit though..

Can't see United winning. Leicester know how to beat the top six and we are not that good thb.

    OH PLEASE..

We are playing Leicester NOT Barcelona, a draw breaks this place, what a shame.

well its easy, honeymoon is over when we lose...
I suppose that is one definition of a honeymoon period

What if we go the whole season without losing and Ole is still in charge next season? That’s one hell of a long honeymoon.

Anyway here’s to a win and long may the honeymoon continue…

    The leaker is back

The lineup leaker is back. Most of the team is what you'd expect, but he claims Sanchez will be starting in a front three with Lingard and Rashford. With Martial not training until Friday it makes sense.
Providing Ole picks the right team, we’ll win this 1-3. The honeymoon isn’t over because we drew a game we were losing by two goals with two minutes to play. If anything it showed we’ve got the battling spirit when the chips are down. Hopefully back to winning ways, top four is a definite possibility

Tough game, I know Leicester city fans don't like Puel but he doesn't half know how to grind out points against the big clubs.

I expect them to frustrate us similar to Burnley on Tuesday, we've got to be switched on to the fast counter-attack through Vardy.

The negativity in here is shocking. Personally, I am hoping to see a reaction after dropping points at Burnely. If Ole is the real deal, we will do this lot and then roll on to smash Fulham next week.

I think this will be a tight game but hopefully United can edge it. Any win will do, Leicester showed what they are capable of at Anfield the other night, they will probably set up the same way today. Maddison always looks good any time I see them and they will look to hit Vardy and Gray on the break. If Morgan starts, he is a weak link that hopefully can be exploited. He might have been able to combat United's hoofball under Mourinho, but with the way United play now under OGS he will be susceptible to the pace and movement of the front players.

To be honest, the honeymoon posts were coming one day or another.

About this game, if we have a bad day and our opponent a good one, it will be a struggle in this league. Leicester are a decent side, but people painting the picture negative are putting Leicester on top form while our team will struggle. This can go either way really. We need to be on it to win of course, but lets see how this goes before going crazy.

I am worried Leicester will do damage from setpieces.
