Martial is having another shocker. Why does he ALWAYS want the ball at his feet? It’s fecking frustrating to see him collecting it and slowing up the flow of play. He brings the pace down with that. Just run in behind ffs.

    What? He's been great today.

I must be the only one who thinks Martial is playing, he's been our best attacking players. He's making things happen, has them pushed back every time he gets the ball.

Lukaku's movement has been poor so far though. We're playing well enough though, just that stupid goal set us back.

I have no idea what Jones was dreaming about there, Smalling gave him too much time

Not sure what match you are watching, he's made plenty of runs in behind, then complained about not getting the ball. Same with quite a few of the one twos he's tried to play, ball usually just goes sideways instead.

Martial's apparently had the same amount of touches as the likes of Pogba/Matic (unusual for a winger) but done nothing with it.

Don't remember him beating a man once, tried a few times but lost possession or fell on his arse and it's all the simple ball when he does pass.
he tries to beat too many players. thinks he's ronaldo... trouble is it's present-day fat ronaldo

he's not a full back. has looked good when played at CB. Don 't know why Jose doesn't just trust Shaw

    Looked good?

He has been awful all season apart from one game. In mid week he spent the match getting completely dominated by small championship level strikers. Hes not united standard and honestly isnt premier league standard either.

We just seem to lack footballing intelligence as a unit. Most noticeable with our defending for both their goal and other chances, but also our going forward as well.

Don't waste your time with him mate. He hates Martial and won't give him credit no matter what.

    Very enjoyable game to watch.

Pogba needs to be a bit more centralized and more advanced though. He needs to impose himself more in the middle.

Martial needs to play with more zest. Too casual.

Lindelof is having his work cut out for him on the right.

I am liking Lingard more and more.

Apart from the early miscontrol that could have led to a goal for us, Lukaku has had a good game so far.

We are so wide open through midfield and Lindelof is struggling positionally at RB, but we've been better in attack with Martial, Mata and Lingard playing well.

One of the cons of attacking football. We cannot blame Jose for being too negative and then blame him again for a gaping midfield. United fans need to decide what they want.

On another evening, we’d be 3 goals up. We have peppered Leicester’s goal area into submission but the lack of a final pass makes it look it’s been an even game.

Henry saying on the half time analysis that Dave should have done more for their goal, seems harsh in my view. Thoughts?

We want our players to be as good as we hope they can be, but Lindelof just isn’t very good. We salute him every time he makes a pass to an open midfielder like it’s sorcery, but his general defendig is nothing special at all. Unlike Bailly, he is often behind the attacker instead of being there before him.

Lukaku just invisible once again, he just isn’t involved unless we are crossing balls for him. Movement and instinct not part of his game, he is so far behind Aguero/Kane it’s frightening.

Lovely work by Matic before our goal, pure determination. Pogba is having a difficult game, probably because of missing movement in front of him. We’re still in this game, hoping for a real lecture from Mourinho at HT.

We have a one man midfield in Matic. Him, Mata and Martial have been the best players by far.

This is what irks me about Pogba. He is playing like an attacker, leaving the midfield all to Matic but then has literally no impact in the final 3rd.

Imagine if we just had a right wing player that could take on a man, like Mane. We offer nothing for the right, ever! Even Valencia for all his space cannot cross his legs.

Hopefully a better second half. Pogba need to step up and Lukaku as well. Hopefully they do and we can win this one. Come on United!

because we have had lots of the ball in dangerous situations and not done enough with it. it's called comparison
Of all the teams you could have chosen, you chose the teams that a lot of caftards have developed an unhealthy obsession for and in the least appropriate thread. City this, City that... The Caf has been hit by the Stockholm Syndrom. Seriously certain threads and certain sections should not have that.

Would be nice to have more threat on the right hand side. With no Valencia our attacking play becomes predictable. Everything is down the left hand side and this makes it easy for the opposition. There is no surprise.

January get Mahrez(RW) and put in a cheeky bid for Ozil. We need some creative players, Mata is very inconsistent, cannot rely on Pogba for everything.

thanks. have been feeling low. you just made me laugh out loud

    to make a point

Yeah, but what good does it do? We are not City, don't have their finances or players, so if you're going to compare us to the very best version of them every time we're not winning, you're giving yourself unnecessary grief for the rest of the season.

Very difficult situation, IMO Smalling should have done better and don't let Mahrez wait for Vardi to come.

I think so. We mock Neuer and Ederson when they feck up the occasional come out, but if DDG comes out there, more likely than not that is not a goal. Hard to criticize the best keeper in the world though.

seriously: maybe you should look up Stockholm syndrome. not much point saying it about Liverpool or Barnet, is there?

Rubbish, he was stretching his legs like normal and you can’t cover the entire length of the goal. If the shot hit his legs and goes out for a corner, he would say it’s top goalkeeping. Doesn’t know what he’s talking about at all. The funny thing is that keepers now have incentives to foul the striker and get a yellow card. A 90/10-situation turns into a yellow card (which is no problem for a keeper) and a 70/30-situation instead with the penalty.

The save? not much he could do but there was plenty of time and space for him to come out and clear the ball before Mahrez reached it. Lloris would've been all over that.

I thought Young should have done much more on their goal. He was leaving Mahrez out wide, but even when the ball went to Mahrez, he just jogged back and looked over at Vardy making a sprint in the middle. I feel he could have easily got to Vardy had he sprinted.

Well Martial's not even beat 1 Leicester player today. He's tried but looked to be trying to jog past them.

    Where's his pace gone?

Also seems very weak, when he goes shoulder to shoulder with a defender and always falls on his arse.

he was talking about DDG's starting position, meaning he could have swept it up

    We’re gonna win this.
Pogba, Lingard and Rashford to score in the second half.

Again a frustrating half, would like to see Pogba concentrate more on his football instead of his hairstyles and dabbing. World class what a joke, KDB, Silva, Moderic, iniesta, etc world class, Pogba potential and that's it.
The sad part again is that we start a season great and then after that it all seems to slowly go downhill, the more they play together the less they seem to be able to play together as a team, look like 11 strangers on the field.
