Van Gaal was definitely given more benefit of the doubt at this stage of his Utd career than Mourinho seems to be getting.

You get the impression there are some Utd fans who want us to lose today so they can slag Jose off.

Teams off

- Smalling plays without Carrick's build up play in front of him.
- Rojo is moved to left back to accommodate Smalling. Would have preferred Rojo at CB and Blind/Darmian at LB
- I've been critical of Martial but I expected him to play today

Who do you play instead of Pogba? Plus he is capable of one world class pass inside a poor 90 minutes.

Players like Pogba and Zlatan don't get dropped anywhere becuase of their ability to get something from nothing, even when playing poor.

Part of that is because Mourinho is proven to be successful in the PL whereas LVG was new.
