How is Matic playing? It’s been barely 3 days since the last game and he’s looked gassed for every single game this season. Surely lab work on his blood and fitness tests will quickly tell you he is beyond fatigued?

    Juventus team
Starting XI: Szszesny, De Sciglio, Bonucci, Chiellini, Sandro, Khedira, Pjanic, Bentancur, Cuadrado, Ronaldo, Dybala
Subs: Perin, Benatia, Matuidi, Barzagli, Mandzukic, Cancelo, Rugani

    Manchester United team
Starting XI: De Gea, Young (c), Lindelof, Smalling, Shaw, Herrera, Matic, Pogba, Lingard, Alexis, Martial
Subs: Romero, Bailly, Darmian, Fred, Fellaini, Mata, Rashford

Two changes from the Bournemouth game with Herrera and Lingard coming in for Fred and Mata.
Damn United twitter posting CL lineups 15 mins early. Nice team, had a feeling Lingard would start. Think the team will be the same for the weekend with maybe Fellaini coming in if he gets a few minutes today.

    Else MEN would post it

Great team. Loving the look of it.

Yeah, like that too. A steady back four should help, Herrera deserves a game after sub performance, Lingard normally puts a shift in, gets between the lines more and has a habit of scoring big goals (fingers crossed) and while don't want to cheer injuries, glad Lukaku out.... pace/movement should make their CHs actually do some work this match.

Still don't get the Matic pick....

Still a big fan of Matic's but he's a worry right now... Hope he has a good one.

Hopefully, although unlikely, Herrera is the deepest CM which would mean we'd lose his high pressing, but he's the best protector of the defence we have.

    Meanwhile in our group

Valencia are currently beating Young Boys 3:1. Whether we qualify for the knockouts will likely go down to the final game where we go head to head against Valencia at the Mestalla.

Reminder: No discussing scores of other games in this thread. You can discuss them here.
    Feck Valancia destroying Young boys

Edit: Oops, saw the notice late.

    Matic.. Why?
The other players will surely resent Matic when he gets zero critisism from Jose.. even when Matic plays absolute turd. He gets caught out constantly with poor positioning or lack of pace. Yet hs still plays. Jose has thrown other players under his bus for much less.

Two games should decide whether or not to sack someone

    Fecking hell
Ofcourse you know well it's not the matter of numbers the man was here for 3 seasons now, so it's not about just 2 games. It's more about our chane in getting into top four is very difficult and also qualifying for the next round of the C.L and why we will keep him then?

Oh great Lingard returns to pass it backwards and sideways.

How matic is starting is beyond me, would prefer fellaini in there.

When are our other cbs back? Because I’ve also seen enough of the Smalling, lindelof ‘partnership’.

I feel optimistic and god knows why.

Excellent. It is some time since I have read posts (at least a few anyway) saying that some of our supporters are feeling optimistic.

    What has happened??.

Nah he didn't start when City beat us 2-1 at home. Only 3 games in a row before then.
Oh yeah that. I remember Mhki and Lingard being diabolical in that game and even had to be hooked off at half time.

What about at the beginning of Jose's first season with us? Wasn't he a starter? Or was it just for a shirt while?
I believe he started José's first 3 games, was admittedly very poor in the and was dropped. Then, if I remember correctly, he didn't get another run in the team until the following season in which he was very good, then we signed Alexis and we know what happened there.

Herrera in and weirdly, Lingard (should add some balance on the right) are good moves. Still think we're going to lose comfortably, sadly.
