I was gonna say how poor this ref has been but yeh, it could be much worse... Jesus.

What's the point of Lingard exactly ? How come he gets thrown into the starting lineup just like that when he's shite ?

Defensively disciplined, clever movement, energy, fits naturally on the right (unlike every single one of our other players) and hunger.

I don't see a good reason for not playing him on the right in pretty much every game unless it's to introducing Chong as a sub. Mata on the right invites teams to double team Young/Valencia. It's pointless. Rashford doesn't have the ability to play on the right, even if he offers pace and energy.

For the khedira chance where is Herrera actually going?

Lingard is clearly one of our most intelligent runners in our team, always finding space and making good movements. All the pundits see it, not sure why so many on here still don’t.

Take Lukaku out and we have a pretty decent team. Anyteam would do well to get a clean sheet against Juve at Turin.

Need to close down Cuadrado a bit quicker. He's been given far too much time when he gets the ball and he's instigating a lot of their attacks.

He and Young have completely shut down Juves left side.

He's always been a flow player. If we attack well then he plays well. We become stagnant and his movement doesn't mean anything and he becomes lost.

Pjanic is class, such an amazing range of passing. People should really look at someone like him before saying saying Pogba's passing is out of this world, and better than the likes of Scholes, because he first has to reach level of passing if current top midfielders, let alone Scholes'

I'm noticing the trend of people saying "Matic was shite" etc just for the sake of it. Becoming tiresome already.

Agreed. He's not been in great form but there is a reason he's still in the team. He is tactically sound and his experience is very valuable.

    Spot on

Good work so far. It is obvious who has the more quality but we're doing a good job to contain them. Want to see more of a threat on goal next half.

Think there are some subs who have potential as game changers.
Mata, Rashford both will perform amazing today.
Then I think Pogba will have his best performance ever in second half.
    Let’s do this!

Hopefully that is not Shaw starting to drop off after getting a new deal
I had put a C-4 up his arse, the guy ultimately is not that great. Let's hope he is decent enough to afford us time to bring in someone.

Pogba was terrible in that half but I'm optimistic he'll be far better in the second half.

He's generally been better in second halves this season.

Shaw has not been up to scratch, all their danger is coming from his side.

Lindgard, I understand Mourinho wants his speed. But could we have Mata’s brain when we are on the counter?

    Not a bad first half,
Get Rashford on early in the second half and we could win this.

Need to close down Cuadrado a bit quicker. He's been given far too much time when he gets the ball and he's instigating a lot of their attacks.
Agree! He’s been really good today, but problem is if you give him special attention you might miss Ronaldo and Dyabala.

We've approached this game like a small team, we haven't created anything to threaten them. If they apply the pressure during the second half, they will score

Believe me that Juve would like to be thrashing us by now but we haven't let them to a certain extent.

Lingard is clearly one of our most intelligent runners in our team, always finding space and making good movements. All the pundits see it, not sure why so many on here still don’t.
But he doesn't have enough end product. To be a right winger you must be good at crossing or shooting. Lingard is a 10/second striker like Alli. Never a winger.

Who said this? I've yet to read or hear anyone saying this.

Juve are a good disciplined side but if Ronaldo wasn't there I wouldn't fear them at all. Not that they aren't a danger... but I feel like we could keep Dybala and Cuadrado under control.
*knocks wood* and activates whatever anti jinx.

    Second-half kick-off
Is it just me that thinks Lingard has played a sensible game? I thinks he’s done well.

Agree. The criticism is bizarre. He’s worked hard off the ball and carried the ball well enough. Only criticism would be he hadn’t really challenged the LB. But then again I’ve never been a massive fan of him on the right

    Second-half kick-off

    No changes at the break.
much better half than we've started matches recently. I have hope we can grab a goal.

What's the point of Lingard exactly ? How come he gets thrown into the starting lineup just like that when he's shite ?

He is there because Jose wants his speed in counterattacks. I would much rather have Mata there, he may be slow but his brain is much faster.

Considering that we seem to go a goal down against literally any PL team, we've done okay here. We don't really look like scoring though, and they do a bit. Looking at it positively, we're doing alright defensively and occasionally we've looked up for it on the break. Need to see more aggression though, I think this Juve team aren't all that defensively and we can make chances if we really go for it.

Ronaldo is interesting. Doesn't look like anyone is man marking him and he's not really been a danger despite that.

In both games, asking for trouble as it is to note it.

    46 min

Pogba with a nice turn on the left wing and wins a free-kick. If we're going to create something to score tonight it's likely he'll need to have a better second-half than he had in the first.

    47 min

Khedira with a dangerous ball into the box for Ronaldo but Smalling gets across to block well.

    Good post.

Lingard works well in the 11, I like him.

Bring Mata on and you also bring our other front 3-4 players into the game, but José has not got the guts for it!

Oh there was a guy few days ago who kept insisting on that. I'll find it latter if I don't forget.

Don't bother if thats just one idiot, because you really have to be one to say it  and agree about Pjanić, he really sprays those passes with such ease, it's joy to watch.
