    GOALKEEPERS

David De Gea, Dean Henderson, Lee Grant.

    DEFENDERS

Tim Fosu-Mensah, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Teden Mengi, Luke Shaw, Axel Tuanzebe, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Brandon Williams.

    MIDFIELDERS

Fred, Bruno Fernandes, Daniel James, Juan Mata, Nemanja Matic, Scott McTominay, Paul Pogba, Donny van de Beek.

    FORWARDS

Edinson Cavani, Mason Greenwood, Odion Ighalo, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford.

Makes no sense to play 5 at the back .. I vote for a 4-2-3-1: Drop Pogba (or play him at #10) and really go for it. Sub out Martial, Rashford, AwB w/ Cavani, James, Williams if the game's wrapped up.

    -------------------------- DDG --------------------------
    --- AwB --- Lindelof -- Maguire -- Shaw --
    ---------------- Fred ---- McTominay ------------
    -- Greenwood --- Pogba ----- Rashford ---
    ------------------- Martial ------------------------------

5-3-2 and the Diamond are Ole's counter attacking formations where we expect to be under pressure. Doubt they'll get employed this game.

Like many I'd start Pogba tomorrow, because regardless of his performance I would bench him for the Everton game.
I wouldn't start Fred in Istanbul though, I feel we will need him fresh and on form if we are to stand a chance versus Everton.

Why would anyone want Pogba in the team?
In a game where we won't be pressed so hard and the tempo is slower, he would be our best player.

I get people are angry at him - he made a mistake, time to move on.

Would you rather he plays tomorrow or at Everton?

At the minute mate, he doesn't deserve to start either. He's been out of form for a long time and we have VDB ready to go who has sparkled in the time he's played. Ole suggesting that Pogba is not fully fit - then he needs to be out of the team and replaced by players who are fully fit. We can't be carrying anyone right now. The season is disintegrating fast.

VDB can play with Pogba no problem.

I suspect we will play matic / pogba as the deeper midfielders with VDB ahead, or play a 4-3-3 with pogba left VDB right.

We have a very busy schedule so it's better to use him in the easier match, save Fred / Mctominay for Everton.

It's all well and good saying drop him but who else do we play instead? he wasn't exactly any worse than the other midfielder against Arsenal in terms of play, everybody had a bad day - he's just the target as he gave away the penalty.

I'd rather give Fernandes a rest if possible and save him for the much harder Everton match. If the other lads can't beat a turkish side with no crowd then god help us.

Pogba was no worse than McT or Fred against Arsenal, these sort of posts come across as if children are behind the accounts.

Yes, he’s not been the player we wanted but right now he isn’t the issue.

Pogba's issue is not just the Arsenal game. Yes, they were all shite, but Pogba hasn't played well in a long time. Just don't see how he starts right now on merit. I'd go with Matic, VDB and Bruno tomorrow and bring on Mata later as a sub. Bruno didn't play the 90 against Arsenal and didn't start against Leipzig - why would we need to rest him?

It's a long season, flying to and from turkey midweek isn't ideal and he has a very energetic style which clearly made him drop in performance last time he was knackered.

I'm sure he will be perfectly capable if Ole wants him to play, but I think i'd rather give VDB the game time in a match we should win comfortably, why risk him?

I am not talking about MCT or Fred. I am talking about Pogba. He has been dreadful. I dont want him playing until he gets his act together.

So that makes me a child???

I'd rather he didnt play either of them. I dont think he is committed to the team.

The only child here is you for calling out someone calling out a player who has three times the amount of penalties conceded in his last six home games than goal contributions this season. Pogba is awful atm and shouldn’t play.

Two matches against not the strongest team out of PSG and Leipzig. Donny can damage them, Fernandes can most likely do it, even Pogba can bite if we send him forward closer to Martial, Rash & Greenwood.

Our defense is in decent shape and De Gea can still win matches on his own, there's absolutely no fear and Ole should get us through into playoff stage, pehaps even this week... then we focus on league form with CL group sorted. To be or not to be for Ole.

When you're paid twice as much, and you play worse than other players on the team, you are definitely underperforming. He's failed to deliver on expectations over and over.

Would like to see Donny at the double pivot.

    Henderson
    Williams Tuanzebe Maguire Shaw
    VdB Matic
    Greenwood Bruno Martial.
    Cavani

Apart from Višća and Giuliano, they shouldn’t pose too many threats.

I think even Ole won’t feck this one up.

I want to see Fernandes, Mata and Donny playing together. Maybe then we can get back to dominating games like we did second half of last season - and even against Sevilla in the EL. Start with Pogba and Greenwood on the bench, then we have someone that can come on and make a difference late in the game. At this point, Pogba is not sharp enough to deal with the intensive press at start of games.

I can see this one being a pretty horrible game. I fancy us to sneak a win but if we score early, we could hit them for a-few. A draw wouldn't be the worst result in the world as 7/9 points after 3 games is a good return.

Had hoped Pellistri would travel even if he wasn't involved in the matchday squad

We need to start playing our best performing players and formation to find rhythm in our play

Ole needs to stop changing the system and personnel, at least until we find some consistency.

VdB, Cavani, Tuazanbe and Mason need to start this game.

They need starts, form and fitness. Coming off the bench isn’t going g to work

The point of a squad is rotation and it has to be key here, I know Rojo & Pellistri are playing the next reserve game so they won't feature here and Telles is still out, with that in mind:

    Henderson
    TFM Axel Mengi Williams
    VDB Matic
    Mata Pogba James
    Cavani

We can bring on the usual suspects around 60 to rescue the game if need be but we have given ourselves such breathing space already we can afford the above I feel

    DDG
    AWB Tuanzebe Maguire Williams
    Matic
    Pogba VDB
    Greenwood Cavani Martial
We win this, we are on the brink of winning the group. Pogba to play tonight so he doesn't against Everton.

    -----------------Henderson---------------
    Williams----Axel--Maguire----Shaw
    ----------------VDB----------Matic----------
    ------------------------Bruno-------------------
    Greenwood------------------------Martial

Take out Bruno when the game is wrapped up. 4-1 United.

I ALWAYS get the score line wrong so I predicted a 5-0 loss vs Leipzig. No shocker we won 5-0. So I've gone with Istanbul beating us 5-0 again.

Because if he plays tonight, he doesnt play against Everton... our much more important game where we need players we can trust, maybe?
That's not what happened with Leipzig and Arsenal games. He played in the cl, performed and then had his usual stinker in the league. Shouldn't let that happen again.

or he doesnt play either of them. He doesnt deserve to be in the squad for now.

Finally, somebody talking some sense! Wellnsaid sir!
