If Arsenal were to loose by 1-0 to Southampton, which could be possible, United need to win by 7-0 to overtake them into 3rd placing.
United should go all out and try after all, United hasn't a big score win this season.
If they were to play the following 4-4-2 formation , they may have a chance to score many:

De Gea/Valdes (De Gea may be rested)

    .........................Jones..............Smalling...............Rojo......................Blind

    .........................De Maria..........Herrera...............Felliani...................Young

    ...............................................Falcao.................Van Persie.......................
That's all very nice but Arsenal play West Brom.

Why so much hate for Newcastle? I actually feel sad for them.

For me they act like they are a big club, they sack managers and cry because they aren't top 4. They should accept they are a midtable team and slowly grow... not expect it all at once.

It's a shame Hull are involved in relegation battle because I would have liked to have seen pereira and Januzaj given a start. Don't think we will do anything like that as we owe it to the league to try and win the game. As much as it would be hilarious if Newcastle went down it would be unfair if we played a load of kids and got beat! Standard team I think, mans we will win. Hull are crap.

Isn't Pereira in Brazil on u20 duty?

I can see us losing this one.... prompting another nutty speech/interview from LVG!

We have to go out to try and win today. It's important for the integrity of the league, in that just because we don't have anything to play for doesn't mean others are still counting on us.

That is why I'll never, ever have respect for QPR. After they found out they were safe, they just stopped playing against city in 2012 - and we all know what happened next.

I think we will lose this. I think Hull will play like they did when Liverpool played there a few weeks ago and I think we will be flat. It happens so many times on the final day. 2-1 Hull.

    Newcastle to go down.

When I picked my team it asked me if I was sure I wanted to play 6 midfielders. These six midfielders have played nearly every game over the past two months.

Are the mods subliminally trying to ask that question of LVG?

Is Wilson likely to feature or has he been busy with the likes of U21s recently?

So Hull have never won a game in May, and Bruce has never beaten United.

I see a record or two being broken today.

I hate these records because they all have to fall some time or other. I remember last season something about WBA never beating us at OT in the premier league era and now they have done it 2 seasons on the bounce.

    De Gea
    Valencia-Smalling-Jones-Rojo
    Blind
    Herrera-Fellaini
    Mata- Rooney- DiMaria

I think it will be that with a Cameo appearance from Falcao, maybe Rafael and Evans

Yeah it'll be great to see Newcastle survive.....

    Said no one ever.
Yes, I would like Newcastle to go down. Do I want my side to lose for it to happen, no. Also we might lose and my some chance Newcastle go and win, then all that comes out of it is that we lost to the side that got relegated. Another achievement for us?

I won't have done very well in the prediction game if there's any truth in MUTV's prediction

Young playing but unavailable for England? Interesting.

Hodgson said that he is going to receive treatment for an injury when the season is over. There was a report that said Young was willing to play with it for England but it's best not to.

We all saw Dave come off against Arsenal. It's quite ridiculous to suggest they're lying about his injury to cover his absence while making a deal with Madrid or something. They'd just lie about his injury, not go as far as to make him come off in a game as well

Maybe he stayed up too late watching Eurovision and then had to console his girfriend after.
