    Injuries are killing us.

I thought joses subs could be better today. Both martial and rashford should have stayed on.

City 5 points free at the top of the table. I am curious to see Mourinho explain this one. If he uses injuries as an excuse then he will really be the joke of the league after saying coaches shouldn't complain about injuries.

    He's not good enough either.
    But he runs.
I still think Martial could have done something. Lingaard does not have the touch or the agility to do something and that is the reason why we lost. Playing safe players has made the team regressed.

THB I've never seen a performance like this before for the last few games, they all look like they finally waking up to a reality that they need to step up. Hardly lose balls and dominate in possessing. Mihki, Lingard, Matic and Rashford trying to create a chance for them to score. Huddersfield were outplayed in the second half. I've enjoyed this game, for now. Congrats for Huddersfield winning this game
    Really?

    Blame the ref, always works.

We'll drop down the table like a sack of wet shit if things don't change PDQ.
Seems it was far too giddy talking about a title challenge, top 4 looks to be a fecking tall order..!!

The one thing that plagued this team since Fergie is absolutely no fecking creativity or any sort of attacking prowess.

Also no being able to string 3 passes together without losing possession and if they move the ball any slower they will be standing still. Fortunes spend and not a step closer to solving the problem.

Not really. I called it at half time while many called it as soon as the line ups were out.
Martial was worse then him in the first half, logical decision. I'm sure Jose would have subed Lingard too, had he had anyone better to come in. Martial and Mata were the worst of the 3 behind Lukaku so they got rightfully taken out.

Very poor performance. Our attack has suddenly turned so bad. Not sure how it did happen. Sure Pogba is a big blow, but we did well after that. Fellaini and crosses can't be everything even if he is missed.

Lukaku just not the same player after the break though. He has been very poor in the last few games.

Need to fight now and turn this around. Long way to go and lots of time to turn things around. Swansea in the league cup now give us a chance to fight back.

I want to see Rashford play up front for this one. Martial and Mkhitaryan to start and to step it up. Lingard can play again. Give Tuanzebe a chance now and play with Blind in midfield maybe? Shaw can get a game as well.

Romero, Darmian Tuanzebe Lindelöf Shaw, Blind, Herrera, Mkhitaryan, Lingard, Martial, Rashford would be the team for me unless we get some players back.

Probably not directly but Jose isn't showing much confidence in prompting our players to attack and as a result we've been setting up too defensively. It looks to be having negative repercussions, especially comparing our past three games to those earlier on in the season.

That was not in any way, a defensive set up. Our players were just abysmal.

Disagree and so do most people who saw the game. Lingard was useless throughout. Martial looked at times to create something. Plus of the two Martial is far more creative. This loss is squarely on Mourinho and his subs and Lindelof.

It was reactionary. Also just by having players further forward doesn't automatically translate to attacking football. The passing and movements are atrocious. That is a serious indictment of the coaching behind the scenes.

I thought Martial was the worst player in the first half for us with Lindelöf. Which game did you watch?

We needed to take him off no doubt. It is shame that Martial after starting the season well has been poor now when given more chances.

I thought it was the right subs no doubt. More annoyed how we started the game. First half was so poor. Second half was alright, but not enough to get a point.

I really hope United wait at least another 6 months before they decide to speak to Mou about any contract extention. Looking at these performances I would really like to know what the hell they do in training during the week preparing for matches.

The same game which you did but with my eyes wide open.

Lingard looked horrible for the first whistle. Sure Martial too struggled but he looked like taking people on and creating something. Lingard just ran around like a headless chicken all day long. Jose and his preference for attacking players who can defend first will lead this team nowhere. City's attacking football and ours are chalk and cheese right now.

When you look at the football we play and then at City and their players we are still playing catchup. Is Joses brand of football now being found out? Its horrible to watch since and including the Liverpool game thats for sure.

Really? You speak for most people who saw the game? So he was better because he was trying to create something? Trying to dribble and loosing the ball isn't a positive.

The loss is because of Mourinhos subs? Lol. Rashford scored you know. But let's just assume Martial would have scored a hat trick, had he stayed on, to justify your opinion.

    Except he didn't create anything.

Lingard stank up the place but yeah he is a neat player so obviously was the right choice. Right!

do you know how many shite teams we lost against under SAF at OT no less ? Have you started watching football recently?

    get a grip.

You are talking about 25 years time span, during which managers were given time to prove themselves and players like Yorke and Shearer cost 12.6 million and 15 million respectively. The present era competitive is af, so even a loss to a newly promoted team away could cost titles. So you get a grip of reality that United are still not there yet.

    What even is this??

We have a large amount of average players. Sometimes those players may punch above their weight but when you look at the overall quality of a lot of our players, can you really blame it on the manager? Jose gets his selections and substitutions wrong sometimes but I put more blame on the players than the manager. They're the ones kicking the ball. Jose doesn't force them to have a bad pass or poor touch. We lacked urgency today until the last 10'. Had we not gone 2-0 down on two very bad defending mistakes, this would have been another 1-0 win or a scoreless draw. We just didn't create enough chances.

Not sure if you have played some football but from my little experience, the manager is not always the reason why players play poorly. It's too simplistic to blame a manger when pro footballers are failing to do the most basic things on the pitch. Look at Mata today. What did Jose have to do with Juan Mata not controlling a ball and giving it away cheaply? Or what did he have to do with Lindelof not clearing an easy aerial ball? I agree the manager certainly has to get the stick when a team is in bad form but we need to look at the whole picture. The cold reality is that today's loss had little to do with team selection or tactics. It ws just very poor performance from the lads.

Jose has to turn things around now to earn his pay. But we have to get behind the team. The season is not over yet.

I feel we're panicking a little too much, our squad is not up to the same standards as city, but has anyone really ever thought his football was attractive or fun to watch other than himself? I'm pretty sure he was found out years ago and this shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.

Lingard tries hard, but he's just not as good technically as Mata or Martial... I get taking off Martial because of the yellow card, but I would've left Mata on instead of Lingard as he has a greater chance of creating some magic out of nothing.

I've said since the preseason that Lindelof wasn't good enough, I'm still waiting for him to change my mind.

When he was at Chelsea the style wasnt as bad as this though. I think if he had have been allowed to buy Perisic we might have had a bit more attacking threat from the wing. I think the club wouldnt sanction it because Martial/Rashford wouldnt get game time. The trouble with that is they have a lot of average games, and are not at the level (yet at least) of a Robben, Duff, Hazard or maybe a Perisic. They both do better coming on as a sub at the end, at the moment.

we are crap in the full back positions . We have a RB who offers nothing going forward, its always run forward stop pass sideways or backwards. We dont have a recognized LB. We have no wingers who are out and out wingers, in a sense they can go on the outside and beat a man. In addition in the number 10 spot we have the M&M's and neither of them taste very good at the moment

I only saw them in some big games or against us, but I remember it being kinda similar tbh, but can't comment about against some lower teams. I also remember everyone moaning about it.

I mean, i feel like people are forgetting the season as a whole and looking at the past two games...
I think our performance today vindicated my opinion on how Mata, Mhiki, Lingard, Martial et al need to step up quite a bit. And today the defence also let us down.

Just an assessment, Utd would be different if there is a right winger. Huddersfield knew that out attack would come from the left as Mata was drifting to the middle and Lingard was running like headless chicken. We need a balance attack.

Should look in the mirror first bud. Insults and thick lumps of fat are just about what your brain's comprised of.
The real laughing matter here is that you actually think Jose decided we didn’t need a fourth signing even though they are a ton of quotes from him which negate this view. As for the insults, sometimes you’ve just got to call a spade a spade. But people like you won’t be happy until Jose has left the club, Vida5Nick.
