    I almost never moan about lineups, but I really wish Mainoo would've started. Concerned about rushing Hojlund back as well.
     
    Thought there was a team leak with all the discussions about the line up... completely forgot about checking the kick off time as I assumed it was 8pm

    well obviously. i’ve got a mate who once drove past old trafford for work, so he knows a bit about the inning workings of things there. he says that antony gets a 15m bonus if he makes 50 starts for us. the clause was put in on the request of ten hag, who agreed with antony that he’s entitled to half of it.
     
    Thought Mainoo was looking gassed around 60 mins in to the Everton game. He was subbed off 10 mins later. Young players’ minutes need to be managed despite how hyped we are about them.
     
    Understandable not rushing Kobbie into 2 games given his lack of first team minutes.

    The fact his replacement is the underwhelming Amrabat just tops it!

    lefty snowflake tripe. 30 years ago, before planes were invented, the players would have had to run to turkey. they’d have departed straight from goodison at full time. only stopping for a fag or stella break. mainoo would have had his feet up for a week since the everton game, doing nothing more strenuous than playing gamestations and changing his gender.
     
    Im suprised Antony is starting tonight ahead of Pellistri, Antony should be left out of the side untill the stuff with Gabriella Cavallin has been sorted out as his heads clearly not in the right place at the moment.
     
    The pitch could be an issue for us more than them. We need to win, need to play, whereas they can live with a draw and be passive
     
    Hopefully this game goes swimmingly...
    Shocking conditions, need our boys to show their steel and get the job done.

    Hojlund was always going to come back into the starting lineup, especially with his record in this competition so far.

    The only other position Martial would have played would have been on the left but Garnacho wasn’t going to be dropped.
     
    At least we'll be put out of our misery early rather than waiting until 10pm. Can get on with enjoying the evening.

    It would be a bit hypocritical for us to appeal for that given the state of the one at Old Trafford.

    In terms of tonight I don't feel great about our chances, we've not played at a level this season to be particularly confident of beating any PL/CL level side, but the team looks reasonable enough and the changes are all fair given the circumstances (like everyone else I'd hoped to see Mainoo again but can understand with the conditions, considering his recent injuries, and the importance of the game why Ten Hag has gone for the more experienced Amrabat).
     
    Antony starting is a sure fire way to have me not looking forward to watching the match.

    Nah, I imagine this younger generation is more into Pong or Atari.
     
    I sure people will be disappointed that Mainoo is not playing but I never really expected him to start this game. I'd rather he play against Newcastle Saturday anyway.

    Pretty much the expected team. Hopefully it's enough to get a win tonight, but who knows with our CL campaign this season. It's been anything but predictable.
     
    Not confident about this one at all. We've sent mentally stronger sides there before and not faired well. Can see us doing the usual of conceding twice in quick succession and leaving too much to do at the other end.
     
    Ten Hags approach with players makes 0 sense. He’s unbelievably cautious when a player is returning from injury, allowing them weeks of being full participants in training before using them in matches and even then he’ll rest them often and sub them off constantly. But on the flip side once a player is fully fit he basically refuses to rotate and will run them into the ground.

    yeah. If im not mistaken hojlund is a back, vs mainoo who was a leg injury. Plus mainoo literally just started over the weekend. So one didnt play while one played. Different circumstances. Zero percent chance as well that hojlund plays the full 90.
     
    Weird seein us in red shorts. Have we ever had a kit with red shorts before?
