Should have headed it. There's no need for your foot to be 6ft up in the air when you're on a yellow and you don't get anywhere near it.
Stupid decision
When you're on a yellow, it's generally a bad idea to lead with your foot that high up in situations when the opposition is likely to attempt to clear it with their head.
They're better coached though.
