I'm not sure, I think the effort is there, it's not like they are throwing games deliberately. For me they are cooked, the fitness levels are poor, players prob doing too much work on training ground and when match day comes they aren't conditioned for the game.
That leads into the issues with injuries which have been worse under ETH than any other manager, another sure sign the training and preparation aren't as they should be.
Think we've got a lot of mediocre players too, many of these simply aren't getting into most teams starting 11s, certainly not at any club with ambitions of finishing top half. This is a mid table squad and the form over the last 12 months proves this. You aren't polishing these players into a top 4 team, even if you put Pep in charge, he'd struggle to do much with this lot.
Utd have played some decent stuff but also some of the dumbest football you could ever hope to see.
