    Pogba was really good for 3/4 months of the season. Shite before and after.

    If he'd won, I'd not have been moaning. Nobody deserved to win it last year though.

    If he was ready for the first team, he wouldnt be out there.

    He'll need a week or two..

    He is comfortably our best LB.. Just hope he can stay fit.
     
    I think it’s very good of Astana to organise this late training session for our young lads.


    Seriously, they have been dreadful.

    The young players look like they're well coached. I haven't seen any of the EFL cup progress but I can understand why they've progressed.

    Shaw has been pretty bad. Can also understand rumors of why Williams is ahead of him moving forward.
     
    From people who watch our youth games, is Chong usually like this, or is it nerves that get to him when he gets into the first team?

    He’s been the least impressive of our young players whenever I’ve seen him play.

    This lie again being regurgitated, Pogba was in good form in the first half of the season. He got injured and when he got back he was in bad form, Jose benched him until he got sacked. His fell off in the tail end of the season though

    Just caught up with the match, though I can't comment on anything so far. I'll probably focus more on the second half. It's a good opportunity for these young players though.
     
    I’m jealous of people who aren’t able to watch this match. Great seeing the young lads get a game, but a really really boring watch.
     
    Garner & Levitt have been by far the standouts in that opening half. Really impressed with the both of them.

    Have you ever seen a team less arsed to play a game of football? Garner / Levitt have about 10yards free on all sides of them at all times to work with.
     
    Listening on Talksport. Garner sounds very composed. Is Greenwood overdoing it a bit? Are we overplaying in general?
     
    Youngsters did well . But maybe it's me but we should have gone in at least 2 up .Astana are not that good.
     
    1-0 at half time doesn't do justice to the United performance. Garner,Laird have really impressed me. Astana with one decent chance when Shaw went to sleep. Ole teams normally drop out in 2nd half will it be the same with this youthful side?
     
    Watched the goal. Was their GK stupid ? Did he actually jump before the ball was even shot or something ?

    Tidy game so far. Safe short passing and no adventure, which makes it little boring to watch.

    Players are making many mistakes, but they are kids.

    I wanted to specifically watch Levitt, if he can solve our no. 10 problem. But he is not playing in that position and all he did was safe passing. Hope Ole gives him no. 10 role and see how he does because no matter what Lingard is doing here he is not going to be no. 10 of the first team squad.
     
    Cant tell Garner and Levitt apart from distance. Both smooth operators in the middle of the pitch.

    He certainly improved the team when he came on against Sheffield Utd, and looks lively today. The guys lost all confidence, the haters really dont help him. He was an England regular and scored some cracking goals not so long back.. (fa cup final winner) there is a good player in there who needs the fans off his back and help him regain some confidence.
     
    Both Gomez has Greenwood have been a bit meh considering their reputation.

    Didn't see much of Garner's passing range.
     
    Very impressed with the composure of this side, even during the periods Astana gained a little more control, I never felt panicked from the players. Feel Chong should do more positionally, as his main strength is his pace, but always seems to close to his man when he gets the ball to utilise it.

    Garner, Levitt, Laird and Gomes been the standouts for me, but impressed with all the kids. Hope Jesse can kick on with abit of form now he's got a goal.
     
    We looks decent, but little passive, a few times we could have launched a counter and we slowed it down.
    This young side are very comfortable in possession which is good. Gomes isn't a wide players and Chong... well he needs to step it up, not seeing it with him.
     
    I am really impressed by the passes played in between the lines by Garner.
    Also, is it just me or is Gomes trying to be too cute on the ball?
     
    Big fan of Angel Gomes but he’s been pretty poor out there.

    Overdoing it at times. Would like to see him play central.

    In fairness, I’d still say that is true especially when Pogba is not playing. McT is improving but we lack players who link our forwards with our deeper players.
     
    Garner finally showing glimpses of his ability. Expected us to get dominated but the kids are doing ver well
