Please just win this, lets put the pressure on the leaders.

Hopefully heavy rotation to give Varane, Casemiro, Bruno and Rashford a rest. I would go:

    De Gea

    Dalot Maguire Martinez Shaw

    McTominay Fred

    Antony Eriksen Garnacho

    Martial (if fit)

A scrappy 2 nil win. Won’t be pretty but will be enough.

    Asking for trouble

I didn't know that Casemiro and Fred are one yellow away from getting a ban.
    My new line-up:

    De Gea
Dakota (if fit) - Maguire - Martinez - Malacia
    McTominay - Fred - Bruno
    Antony - Weghorst - Garnacho

If United can get all 3 points on Wednesday, the potential build-up and theatre before the Arsenal game would be like the good old days of SAF vs Wenger.

It would make for an amazing game on Sunday afternoon.

But lets try and focus on Palace first haha

I wonder if this is the spot to bring back Sancho. A substitute appearance at the very least.

Anyone confident we can do beat both these and arsenal? Think we should win this one fairly easy. Arsenal will probably be a very tough game, I’m confident if we play to our best we can beat them. We’ll attack them just as much as they’ll attack us so I expect an open game. Both defences are doing well.

Wish we could somehow roate some of our players here.

We officially have the most packed schedule of any english team being the only one that's still in 4 competitions plus having 2 extra europa games, ten hag really needs to be on his game these coming months.

Think we should rest Casemiro and Varane. Casemiro mainly because he is on 4 yellow, so do not want him missing against Arsenal.

Palace at their place wont be easy. Irrespective of recent form Palace fans will be loud for this to try to get them to raise their game.

Think we’ll have enough though. They got demolished of spurs.

Casemiro needs resting full stop. We should play as strong a team as possible after that.

Think McTominay comes in for Casemiro. I have a feeling we'll see Maguire start too to give Varane a rest.

Will be interesting to see if we rest Rashford. We don't really have a goal threat outside of him, and it might be too soon to throw Weghorst his first start.

Palace will drop deep and try to hit Utd on the break. So i think Weaghorst should definitely start.

Dalot, if fit, gives more going forward than AWB, but AWB would be better against Arsenal.

Maybe could rest Shaw and definitely rest Varane.

Midfield is a tricky one. We are not the same team without Casemerio. I would have him on the bench.

    Degea

    Dalot
    Maguire / Linderloff
    Martinez
    Malaica

    Mctomminy
    Bruno
    Fred

    Antony
    Wegahorst
    Garnacho

    Team to play Arsenal

    Degea

    AWB
    Varane
    Martinez
    Shaw

    Casemerio
    Fred
    Erikson

    Bruno
Martial (gives us more pace) but if Weaghorst does well on wed, then maybe him.
    Rashford

We only have a chance on Sunday if Rashford, Rapha and Casa are available

we've had a difficult time at Palace in the past and these 3 points are vital for staying in the top 4...i know we have arsenal on the weekend but massive changes to disrupt the rhythm of the team would be foolish

only guys you drop are Casemiro and Varane....Maguire and Scott to replace them. Everything else has to stay the same b/c taking a loss at palace going into the arsenal game is not what you want as that just adds even more pressure on the result at the Emirates.

Why is everyone talking about resting players for Sunday? If we lose this one we lose three league points and Sunday doesn't matter. This will be a tough game, rotate maybe two players, Martinez to come back into the team and maybe rest Erickson. If we lose to Palace Arsenal is irrelevant. And I would keep AWB as its a chance for him to showcase himself to potential buyers.

Because we have to be careful with the likes of Varane, also Casemiro is one booking away from a ban on Sunday

My worry about this game is Vieira wanting to do his old team a favour which could see happening
I’m really no convinced professionals think like this. Viera will only be thinking about what good for Palace. If that helps Arsenal then so be it, but I doubt he’s planning this game based on anything other than HIS team needing 3pts.

I’m hoping them 3 are rested against palace. Well maybe 2 of them. Can get a win without rashford and Varane but Casemiro is so crucial to how we play.

    That post made me nauseuos

Did we sign a new RB???

Some clips of Weghorst in training online...no reason to think he wont be involved on Wednesday.

Just need to wait and see if Rashford/Martial have recovered.

    I wouldn't be against seeing Garnacho-Waghorst-Antony

Case is pivotal to getting anything against Arsenal so he should sit this one out.

Casemiro has 4 bookings in 15 games. He got booked in his last game. The odds would suggest he is unlikely to get booked again. If he does, tough..
Rest him if he needs resting.. not because he is on 4 yellows.

We need to win every game. Go with the strongest possible team..

Yeah if we had someone who could provide cover without huge drop off against Arsenal then would feel differently, also he plays in a position where it only takes one mistimed tackle on Eze/Zaha and that's him out on Sunday

re Casemiro: I would do exactly what we did in the last cup game. Put him on the bench and bring him on if we need him sometime after 60 mins.

Despite how well he played against City I feel we could cope if Fred got booked but not Casa, also think we are taking huge risk leaving them both on the bench for this game.

If we're dependent on Casemiro to beat Palace then we're in fantasy land thinking we're challenging Arsenal

IMO, if Casemiro and Fred don't play at The Emirates they we'll lose, and if we lose we're toast as far as the PL goes this season

They're in terrible form, which means they'll turn up against us now  With a few twaeks to the team to keep some freshness, we should still have enough. An early goal to keep their fans quiet would be nice. Think it will be a tough, some times ugly watch, but hoping for 0-2.

Yeah they won't fold like against Spurs
