It'll never happen but I'd like to see us try moving Bruno into midfield.

    Fred/McTominay partnership isn't creative enough.

    De Gea
    AWB - Bailly - Maguire - Shaw
    James - Bruno - McTominay - Rashford
    Greenwood - Cavani

I'd love to see this too. Wouldn't be great for keeping possession, but Fred isn't that good at passing either.

Feels like a Fergie XI

Supposedly the team has been leaked as:

    Henderson
    Awb Bailly Maguire Shaw
    Matic Fred
    Greenwood Bruno Rashford
    Cavani

If correct I like that, Scott should be looked after for Sunday and Henderson commands the area.

Perfect line up. Normally I'd give Mata a shout, but with LB Van Aanholt being a pace merchant, James tracking back on the counter is a huge asset as well. James did surprisingly well in the Newcastle game where people predicted he wouldn't do much vs teams that sit back.

    Out of sedatives? :smirk:

    just kidding. Take care man.
    Thanks man

Hopefully the leaked lineup is true.

Greenwood has to start over Martial too. He is doing more with his minutes so needs to be given a run

Surprised Cavani starts with City on Sunday, but I'm glad he's back.

Same but it depends how you look at it.

This a must win so if Cavani gets us those points it's worth it.

Beating city will be a tough ask no matter Who we play

Right, Ole’s put out the perfect team today. Up to the players now.

Being a bit pragmatic, wouldn’t it be better to put most focus on tonight’s game and the EL game? And less focus on City.

So we have Alice in goal for Liverpool? Someone will sing who the feck is Alice.

Yes it's a must win game for us. Forget about the City for now. We are not going to catch them in 12 games.

McTominay for Matic and this is arguably our best team. It'll be very disheartening if we don't batter them. But given our performances against Sheffield United and West Brom, I won't be surprised if we're garbage.

If so who is going to push up from midfield? It's a more defensive midfield than even against Chelsea.

Fred can break forward when he wants to. Gets more of an opportunity when he plays with matic

I think Ole will want runners on Sunday. Expect James, Rashford and Martial or no Martial if we go with a back five

    Nah not having it.

totally fair. It’s only a feeling and I’d surely be a wealthy man by now if my feelings were always right. Martial goes through a phase every season where he looks like he’s totally lost confidence but the end of last season bought him a lot of goodwill and fans are quick to forget the hard times once a player scores a few goals. This is his longest poor run ever by far though. He’ll probably hit some kind of run again this year but can we rely on such a streaky and lazy striker beyond this season? We shouldn’t have to but if there’s no money we will be forced to.

Ive also seen it written a few times that supposedly the owners think he’s the new pele and won’t entertain selling him? Pele! Clearly they bought him and he’s a pet project of theirs if he’s been unsellable. Its just another example of what Ole or any other manager is dealing with if they want to improve the squad and that’s if the owners don’t just pocket the money and turn a blind eye to getting a replacement. Surely even subconsciously martial will know if the owners are on his side he can keep just doing his own thing and it won’t matter because he won’t be sold. Plus hes on a massive deal here till 2023 that surely no other club will match. Glazernomics!

Gonna be another tight game. Expect a cagey 2-1 win.

I'm also going to say there will be a penalty in this for especially after the weekend. Anything close and it will be given.

For once, I would like to see the team actually play well.
