That's arguably our worst half of the season that. Nothing about it was good enough and no outfield player was at an acceptable level.

There was a time when I'd still be confident that we'd come out strong and turn it around but I doubt we will these days.

But seriously we're playing too narrow. That's what happens when your two wingers love to cut in and play narrow.

We miss Martial's wing plays, directness to goals and his good chemistry with Lukaku.

Rashford sub on, Lingard off to exploit that right wing and stretch our predictable narrow play.

Both Rashford and Januzaj showed flashes of brilliance. Rashford is good even now. Not the future worldbeater better-than-Kane that people were hyping him up for, but good.

McTom has not shown anything to warrant a spot on the bench so far.

I don't enjoy watching this kind of football.

I find it really odd that we've got Sanchez, Lingard, Rom on the pitch and yet are playing like this.

And my feelings toward Pogba, while I like him as a character, is that he's more hassle than he's worth a lot of the time.

I like functional midfielders, and midfields that work as a unit, I'm starting to feel that this isn't doable with Pogba.

We're way too narrow. If we're going to get any joy, we need to get the ball wide and stretch Palace.

I would match up with Palace and go 442.

What is the role of Lingard in this setup because he looks just as lost as we do
Angled ball into Lukaku by Valencia has failed every time
Cross field pass to Valencia has gone out of play almost every time
Smalling passing the ball behind the player he passes to (cut and paste for every game tbh)
McTominay with his best Cleverley impression
Young being ignored in acres of space time and again. We know he's shite but still

It's like he carries his off-the-pitch world on during the games now. No issue with whatever the feck he does on IG, on the pitch he's been abysmal. Juventus really took us to the cleaners with that one.

The only thing that was good about that first half was that it ended. Now we have hope the second half will be better.

Our wide areas have been porous, against a massively weakened Palace side. Whilst going forward we have been one note. I’m glad Lingard took a long shot, I thought we’d forgotten how: treating Hennessy like he’s Neuer when he’s already fumbled a couple.
