Would be very surprised if Darmian started after the shellacking he got on Sunday.

Hopefully Shaw is back fit, but if not him then Blind should start.
Mourinho's not particularly fond of dropping players when everybody is expecting or asking him to. He might as well think it wasn't mainly Darmian's fault (the club site even interviewed the player on how he had managed to stop Sissoko!), but Martial's (and drop him for Rashford, although I don't think he should).

Should be a fairly comprehensive victory. Palace are not that good this season, I hope we get an early goal or two just to help settle our nerves as the Palace crowd is usually pretty lively.

Please no Darmian. I trust every other player who is likely to play but Darmian just isn't good enough going forward or in defence. That isn't just because of the Tottenham game as I said exactly the same thing in the build up to that match.

    What's up with Martial?
No idea. Just going by the pictures in the M.E.N. live blog and what they are saying.
    All ears

Rooney looks delighted that Schweini’s still wearing his United trainers!

Just going to drop this friendly piece of advice from a Palace fan who signed up today regarding travel tomorrow, if anyone here is going to the game.

CPFC fan here. Just in case you are not aware, any fans travelling down by train, will have problems getting to selhurst park from either London Bridge, or London Victoria, as Southern Rail Services ( which normally stop at Thornton Heath, Selhurst, or Norwood Junction for Selhurst Park) are in the middle of a strike, and NO TRAINS are running.

    Hope it's a good game.

Yep, can confirm it's going to be a nightmare tomorrow.

fecking hell we will be having no wingers at this rate.

Maybe we could see a 3 in midfield again

    Carrick
    Herrera Pogba

    With

    Mata Zlatan Lingard

That should be good enough to be fair.

Unfortunately I think it will be Blind and Darmian. Would love to give TFM a shout, but I just don't see it. Maybe he will put Young in but listening to him, he still thinks his a winger.

Don't think Carrick will start again so soon. Might be good to rest him for West Brom. Think Rooney will come in and Herrera drop in Carrick's place.

Yeah, but then he will give him the number 10. role. Either way, I see Rooney playing tomorrow. I'd rather take him than Fellaini. Then again there is Bastian, but that's a stretch to ask for.

Don't see why Blind in behind Pogba and Herrera wouldn't work, will probably be Fellaini though.
Can see Rooney coming in too but not in midfield.

Would be confident of a result if we weren't having to make so many enforced changes. Think we'll struggle to a draw at best.

Good effort to the Palace fan for taking the time out to give us this info. I think most travelling fans would have been aware, but nice to see opposition fans showing some class.

Usually it's the other way around, with the attack being a puzzle, but I'm now finding it very hard to predict our defensive line tomorrow.

Disappointing news about Martial, I guess that will mean Rashford on the left which has not worked out so far. Surprised both Carrick and Schweini have travelled, I actually thought Schweini's run-out at Old Trafford last month was his farewell.

I guess the part in the press conference where HM says that "I asked the club to get the player and I analysed and I like the player" in reference to Mikhi , will shut up the morons who say that it wasn't his signing and was forced on him as part of the deal for Pogba bla blah?

Yes they are! Always find myself watching Palace at home when I can in tv for that reason.

So no Martial and no Mkhitaryan for this game. What about Carrick also ? Can he plays 2 games in 3 days with another one next Saturday ?
I think Mourinho should try to play Carrick for this game as Palace will surely attack us more than WBA this weekend.
I would like to play wingers there, but if it means playing Lingard and Rashford on the wing, so no thanks.
I'd rather have Rooney and Mata like against Swansea.

A team without any speed !!!!!

    ----------------------------------De Gea---------------------------------
    Darmian------------------Jones----------Bailly---------------------Rojo
    ----------------------------------Carrick---------------------------------
    Mata--------------------Herrera----------Pogba-----------------Rooney
    -----------------------------------Ibra------------------------------------

This feels like such an important game for us; a win would equal a real momentum while a loss would feel like a false dawn again.

    I'm predicting

    De Gea
    Darmian-Jones-Rojo-Blind
    Carrick
    Mata-Herrera-Pogba-Lingard
    Ibra

Question marks for me are Rojo/Bailly for CB, who will play LB, if ol' man Carrick can play two games in one week, and if Rooney or Lingard (or maybe Rashford?) will start on the left.

This and WBA are must win. With Liverpool vs Everton and City v Arsenal in the next few days, we need to get our job done, then we can sit back and watch as points are dropped.

Those were exactly the points I pondered when doing my lineup prediction, although I put Rooney in for Lingard as the only difference to your picks. I do wonder if JM will be tempted to play Rojo at LB to accommodate Bailly, I hope not, as Rojo isn't good there and has played very well with Jones at CB recently. Only other possibility would be Jones at RB, Bailly and Rojo in the middle and Darmian at LB, but I can't see that.

Can't wait! Kicks off the best period of football in the calendar for me

Right back at you, I had the exact same thought processes. Thinking back to how SAF used to play Jones at RB, but as you said I don't think Mou will do that.

Is it confirmed no Martial? Or just the pics? He could use some consistency...

Could be our slowest team ever with Darmian and Blind both in and no chance of countering. So my prediction is we'll take a lot of low percentage shots with their team packed in. It's what we do when Mata plays. Big day for Mata though and possibly Rooney with the firepower that is missing. Those are 2 guys this club should be able to count on to deliver when they are called.

Don't feel great about this one. 1-1 or 2-1 Palace.
