According to papers he was out in Manchester last night celebrating his birthday, so either injured, or the human side of LvG let him get pissed or the manager doesn't think much of him.

I think that no one think much of him, except United's fans.

I think what I'm learning this season is the line-up of players seems to become increasingly irrelevant. Any 11 players we play might actually be alright, or be really shit.

Why the Fellaini hate? He had an excellent game midweek in this position and not no10.

Still not sure what the outcome will be but either way Martial vs Ivanoivic will be funny.

Schneiderlin should be starting these games, even though he's been poor since his return from injury.

Ah Fellaini over Schneiderlin, give me strenght.
Will end badly for us today.

This must be the slowest spine in football.
Blind, Carrick, Fellaini, Mata and Rooney. Sheesh!!!

Fellaini might be a perfect fit for this match, one which we have to assume Van Gaal does not want to see become an open, free-flowing game. The man shouldn't be anywhere neat the squad, let alone the starting XI, but LVG may be thinking that he needs Fellaini's hacking to feck with Costa.

Thought Morgan would of been nailed on for a start this match. It's the type of game he could of bossed in midfield slowing down Chelsea and making crucial tackles. Fellaini will probably slow down their play by making numerous fouls whilst also slowing down ours massively. He's like the managers kid who gets a start no matter what isn't he!

I've lambasted Fellaini's inclusion for weeks, but today he is probably needed. Zouma, Matic, Costa are brutes. Fellaini won't shy away from a war with Costa, and he can mark one of those 3 at set pieces. He might not play much football, but he'll stop us from getting bullied. Fellaini was okay against Stoke, but his best contributions were defensive ones.

I had Schneiderlin over muffin top because I thought he was injured.
I had him in then changed it when I realised Fellaini wasn't injured. Thought he would pick the same side. Now to see if it works against Chelsea rather than against a cannon fodder Stoke.

Feel like this if we win this match then the team has what it takes to get a top four finish, if not then I don't really see us making it.

I mean we still could get 4th if one team has a bad run and we keep plucking away but more like the team maybe doesn't have the quality needed if they can't win matches like these. We have to start making up for the awful run we've had in the last 2-3 months.

11/11. Finally on the first page for the first time this season. Ready to defend my 5th place finish.

Not confident seeing the lineup, hope we can somehow win. I hate the stamford bridge, we rarely win there and have an easy game
